The best restaurants serving Other international-cuisines food in England

January 25, 2025, I attended the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man, a historic pub and restaurant near Chelmsford, Essex. The evening was a delightful blend of Scottish tradition and culinary excellence. The event featured a four-course menu priced at £48 per person, accompanied by Scottish bagpipes and the traditional haggis ceremony. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to seasonal and local ingredients. The ambiance was enhanced by the historic setting of the pub, which dates back to 1341, providing a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, contributing to a memorable experience. While the food was exceptional, the overall experience of the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man was truly enjoyable, offering a perfect blend of tradition, atmosphere, and high-quality cuisine.

Brilliant as always...beautiful atmosphere..friendly staff...tasty food. Lamb jerk with sweet potato mash and jerk chicken burger nice 2 for 1 cocktails ..had a great meal will be back infact just booked in York ...looking forward to it ????

Cubana Tapas Bar is an incredible place! The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are super friendly and make you feel like part of the family. Plus, they serve the best drinks. Highly recommended!

Sublime food, exquisite surroundings, slightly unnerving but I guess that's deliberate. Had the 6 for 60 menu and worth every penny. Thank you to Michael O'Hare for giving us experiences like this to look forward to.

Went to have lunch after going to the cinema. We were sat down straight away, it was not busy at all. I would say less than 10 other tables sat. Granted, they only had a couple of members of staff on but after 25 minutes of being completely ignored and not even being asked for a drinks order, we got up and left. It’s not as if they were busy. Never again. First time in my life I’ve experienced service so poor I’ve got up and left.

We normally come here once a year to celebrate a birthday but was super disappointed with the experience we had this year and I’m not usually one to write bad reviews. I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday here with my friends. My husband made our reservation for 15-16 people 3 weeks in advance. They sent us an email saying that for large parties, they normally require meal selections ahead of time, but excused it for us and told us to just be patient with the staff (which we always are, we truly didn’t mind, we know the food is worth waiting for!). We had 4 extras try to join our reservation, but the staff said they couldn’t make that work so we did not let them come, no problem! By the time we got seated, the table only had 14 chairs. We kindly & patiently asked them for two more (as our reservation was for 15-16 people) and the manager or whoever she was, came over to our table and approached us in a terrible, extremely negative manner, telling us that our party size was unacceptable (even though we booked in advance and it was accepted). We tried to show her our email exchange with a staff member confirming the party of 15-16 people, in addition to the excusal of preselected meals but she didn’t care (we were still going to pay together on one main bill which was discussed in the email). About 3 minutes or so after this insane reaction, and before even ordering anything, she told us we were going to “annihilate the kitchen” and continued to be so angry with us. This was the worst interaction I’ve ever had from a restaurant employee and she ruined our celebratory birthday dinner that we were all looking forward to. After me and my friends were left speechless with how we were just treated, we left. It was unfortunate because I know this place can be hard to get into, so some servers definitely missed out on a few tables but we did not feel like staying where it was made clear we weren’t welcomed, and instead, were more of an inconvenience to them. If they had told us prior to this, that they couldn’t accommodate our party of 15-16 people, we would’ve understood, we know it’s a lot. But this woman waited until we were sat, to come over and be incredibly rude to us, without even greeting us or working something out (which we would’ve been open to!). Attaching a screenshot below for proof of our conversation. Extremely disappointed with how this was handled and bummed we had this experience that stayed with us for the end of the night.

This was a frequent location for when I couldn't be bothered to cook. The ambiance was extraordinary, lifted by the enthusiasm of Leo, the manager/part-owner and in a more measured way by Enez.

I came for bottomless tapas! Food was 10/10 and service was great from kyle! Had a great time and cocktails were beautiful :)

i came here for my 21st birthday with all of my friends. we did the bottomless brunch and there was 8 of us in total. staff was attentive and food was amazing. will definitely recommend

Although barista didn't heard my order correctly and instead of Cappuchino with x4 espresso made just regular espresso they quickly fixed it wich was appriciated. Coffee was really nice as well. Taking points from atmosphere as tables were dirty and I had to go to search for menius that wouldn't have massive stains or desert dirt on them (didn't find a clean one that was available)

Mehedi was a great server and took care of my needs and wants. The food was great and the service was awesome. I encourage everyone to dine here.

Delicious! The menu had so much choice, I wanted to try everything. Started with the calamari which was cooked to perfection and wonderfully spiced. The fish stew was a bowl of heavenly flavours, perfectly cooked fish and shellfish with the potatoes soaking up the flavour of sauce. Plates scraped clean! Service was friendly, helpful and just right, such a charming waiter. Fabulous. Cannot wait to go back. Go and let your taste buds be tickled!!
