The food was not very nice greasy it took ages to come

Waited quite some time for standard fish and chips from a fish and chip shop. Food nice once arrived

My husband went in and ordered 2 meals tonight and on returning home found only chips and no battered sausage with the meal, tried ringing 3 times but no answer.

We were in Bournemouth just for a 2 night break. Never been to Bournemouth before and I looked up where the best fish and chip shop is. It gave me Barnacles, my husband isn't a great lover of fish and chips but he said he would have some with me. Everything cooked fresh and we sat in the car and enjoyed them hot. Well what can I say, they was the best we have both had in a long time even my husband was very happy and very tasty. Well done to Barnacles keep up the good work 👍

Food was not as good as it was when we had it in the past.

Huge cod so tasty I recon best in Torbay and a lot better value than some of the other ones

Absolute rip off 6 pounds cheesy chips 2.20 for a sausage and 4.50 for large chips Prices shot up and the food is average If your going there for a family go elsewhere you'll save 7 to 10 pounds which is crazy when you think about it

First visit following a recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Great fish and chips. Will definitely return.

I don't know how previous reviews were so positive, the fish itself was dry and chewy, the batter was soggy and had an odd texture. The chips were also soggy. I have had chips here before and they were awfully soggy. Peasedown deserves better.

The very best fish and chips in Exeter, and the best I've had anywhere. The fish was soft and juicy and the chios were amazing. Tasted like fish and chips used to. Very good price too. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Freshly cooked, good prices, substantial portions. What more to expect?

We’ve always enjoyed wonderful food at the Galley but yesterday we had the best meal ever. Delicious scallops followed by seabass - cooked to perfection. We finished with the cheese and a lovely red wine recommended by Patrick. Even the petit fours served with the coffee/peppermint tea were excellent. We’ll done The Galley team. Looking forward to returning in 2025.

A must when visiting seaton, could smell the food from the premier inn and we just followed our noses, good value, good portion size and so so fresh

Be aware you pay for everything separately. £14:50 for Haddock and chips.
