The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Took friends this time to visit our old mate Andy ! Tiny portions but hot and tasty. Usual bad service and rude management but that’s the fun of coming to watch Andy in Acton ! I await Andy’s normal rude flippant reply ! When you work out which customer I am and apologise to us these reviews will stop

This is a review of Lyme Fish Bar On The Beach. There seems to be a bit of confusion, as they seem to have 3 outlets in the town. After a long, long wait - 20 minutes, eventually the cod and chips appeared.Some mutterings about a problem and the gas. I feared the worse.BUT fair play. Fish & Chips was pretty good. Such a shame about the long wait.

Had a fantastic club sandwich with coffees downstairs at Rockwater .. although it was a very busy Saturday service from Emir was fantastic , super friendly but professional and efficient ! Well done Emir xx

very polite and well mannered staff, fish chips and gravy was excellent, lovely fish with soft batter.. best chippy on the fylde.. hard to find any fault.. will be going back soon for sure..

Firstly the staff were super friendly, so pleasant, they could not have done anymore for us. The fish was gorgeous, nice chips, couldn’t fault it! Lovely clean restaurant.

Read this was THE place to check fish and chips in Beaconsfield, and I would definitely recommend it. I could the medium cod and it was very filling. Wish I had a fork for when it started to fall apart, but still very tasty!

Fantastic meal with amazing view. Staying overnight in a clean and exceptionally comfortable room with lovely view of the harbour. Looking forward to breakfast!

Ordered 2 loaded chips, one Mexican and one green menu curry and 2 kids meals. Food was lovely, worth the wait. Will be visiting on our holiday again next year!

We were recommend Mark’s as the place where locals go while tourists go elsewhere within Southwold. Two cod and chips - decent portion sizes and the fish was good. Chips were really nice, just not as hot as we’d have liked which is the reason it gets 4 rather than a 5. We sat in to eat which was nice to have that option unlike a lot of places that are takeaway only.

Visited this cafe today and the service was really bad. The lady serving us was very rude. The order took over 1 hour for fish and chips and panni’s. We ordered for two adults and two kids. Really wasn’t worth the wait when it arrived. Over priced , poor service and not clean. Not sure what the hygiene rating is but the place wasn’t clean. The lady that took my order was extremely rude and questioned my son on why we needed four dessert spoons after we ordered desserts and refused to give us more than two dessert spoons and asked us to take the wooden ones instead. Very old behaviour. We also noticed that a lot of people that arrived after us received their order before us. Would really avoid this place as the food was average but more importantly the staff were not helpful and rude. Disappointing as we wanted to buy a painting inside but due to the poor experience decided not too.

Another visit and another excellent Gluten Free Haddock & chips. It’s the best take away Fish &Chips I’ve eaten! We always pop in when we are in the area.

First time visiting this fish and chip shop. Ordered a haddock and cod with chips. Food was so crisp, best fish we have had in a while. Service was really good, nice team, assuming mum and daughter. Would happily revisit.

I have been to this restaurant previously and when in the area I decided to call again. Unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed with the food. I ordered Haddock with salt and pepper chips and a coffee. The coffee was fine. The chips were dry, as though they had been in the heater some time, some were hard. The haddock was very greasy, so much so it left a thick grease lump on the paper. I couldn't eat the fish due to the greasy taste. I have given the place 2 stars, as I have previously had a good experience there. I will not be returning any time soon. Fish, chips, coffee and a water £16.45 so it's not cheap either.
