The best restaurants serving Thai food in East Midlands

Visiting Buxton for a mini break away and read great reviews. Mixed experience for us. Food was amazing! Freshly prepared and delicious starters and main courses. The service was poor. Two young girls serving, was not asked about the meal once during our visit. Wasn’t offered any other drinks until after we’d finished our mains and ready to settle the bill. Abruptly walked off after paying and it felt an effort for the thank you to be made to us. What a lovely meal which was let down by not feeling valued as a customer and poor table service.

Food was amazing, chicken pad thai was delicious, very nice staff

would love to see a delivery service to long sutton and sutton bridge in future.

A slightly disappointing takeaway from Royal Thai. The sticky rice portion was really small and there were very few pieces of chicken in the massaman curry. I wouldn’t order from here again. The spring rolls were nice but you only got 4 tiny rolls for £6.50.

I had bean curd pad Thai, absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend

I had a biryani King prawn it was nothing like a biryani at all. There was two king prawns and they had been chopped up. It was £11.90. What a rip off we had a takeaway delivered to our home and our Friend meals were okay the biryani was an absolute joke, it’s a shame really because we’ve been before and it was really nice but too king prawns chopped up come on

Unexpected gem in the middle of Derbyshire! One of the best Thai meals I’ve had. Nice to have somewhere not afraid to amp up the spice and punchy flavours. Would return in a heartbeat.

What a wonderful restaurant! Booked late in the day, but the staff managed to find us a lovely table. Family of 5, grandparents to grandchildren, all of whom were delighted with the authentic, flavoursome and well served food. Cracking value too. We couldn't recommend this place more highly and will definitely return next time we are in the area.

I've never tried Thai food before but was persuaded to give it a go and it was delicious. Great selection of meals and great service, will be returning.😊

I messaged the restaurant beforehand to make sure they could veganise their vegetarian food on the menu. They said they could. Upon ordering food, the lady taking our order didn't understand what vegan food was. She said, yes, it's no meat. I had to say, it's no meat or dairy. She did mix up the order and brought to the table a dish with what looked like chicken in it. She then said it was egg, even though there was no egg mention in the dish's ingredients. Obviously not vegan. She didn't really look that happy taking it back again and there was no apology. My worry is that not only do they not have a basic grasp of peoples dietary requirements, what other things are they getting wrong, such as allergies or intolerances. Some of the other dishes were a bit hit and miss. Massaman curry tasted a bit strange, loads of sauce hardly any veg. The whole experience put our group off eating here in the future.

A brilliant dinner at Finale. We’d never been before but heard good things. For starters we had the mixed seafood platter and the Thai sausages. All were brilliant but the Calamari in the platter was incredible. Mains we had 2 steaks, a massam curry and a grilled duck. Highlights were the duck and the curry. A brilliant meal.

Outstanding Thai restaurant whose food is only bettered by the fabulous staff. Best Thai food I have ever tasted and I eat Thai everywhere I go including repeated trips to Thailand. The restaurant is medium to small so booking early is a worthwhile precaution to try the food perfection of this restaurant. The chef will Taylor the spice levels to your own levels. Family business that should be a must visit location to all Thai food lovers
