The best restaurants serving Thai food in South East

Very disappointed in our lunch time visit yesterday. The restaurant was very cold, the food mediocre & the service very slow. My main complaint was being charged £3.95 for half a pint of sodawater & lime. The Gents downstairs toilet was disgusting, mould everywhere. Won't be back.

We eat here regularly and also run charity events with Asian Spice. The food is authentic and great with a wide menu choice and also value buffet evenings. The staff are always friendly, attentive and helpful. Their ongoing support of community fundraising events has been fantastic. Even with us selling out every Comedy and Curry night we have staged, they always perform delivering high quality food on time, with many new visitors at each event planning return visits. Highly recommended for families, couples or groups. Bus stop outside is handy too if you want to make it a night out.

First time visiting with friends and had a great time! The food was fantastic, we each got a starter and curry for main plus wine and thoroughly enjoyed it all, price was reasonable too! Good service and super fast, nice atmosphere too. Will return again soon!

We enjoyed a wonderful, delicious Thai dinner and such attentive, kind service! The ladies were absolutely first class hosts. Every dish was absolutely perfect. I’m a lifelong vegetarian and I studied Vegetarian Thai cooking in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This food was extremely authentic and reminded me of my time in Thailand. I highly recommend Thai Pad Thai for its authentic, flavorful Thai food, the wonderful service and its intimate, cozy atmosphere. My friend is not a vegetarian and he equally appreciated his selections. This restaurant is conveniently located just off the Seven Dials in Brighton. I highly recommend Thai Pad Thai and will definitely return . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely 12 course taster Thai menu meal. It was a gift from our daughter. The food was very good and the champagne went down well too. The service was excellent from the lady on reception who went out of her way to show us to the restaurant, to the barman and the waitress. Everywhere was clean and tidy. I do have to say the decor is unique, which is of course well known, and not to our taste. Whether the whole experience is quite worth the cost is marginal, although such things never come cheap, but it’s not overly excessive. We would recommend it as a different experience on a special occasion.

Myself and my family went here for a New Year’s Eve meal and were greeted with the rudest woman on earth. Tutting, rolling eyes, sighing and muttering things under her breath are only a small list of the rude, unpleasant things she would due during our time at Ros Thai. The restaurant is silent and there is more of a vibe at a wake. Food was bland and had no authentic Thai flavour - bog standard and not to mention took over an hour to arrive. Will not be returning ever again, would give 0 stars if possible.

Nice place, but the food is extremely basic. It has no authenticity around it unfortunately, not a lot of seasoning and flavourless.

This was our 4th visit to Thailand Tom. The food is superb. We particularly love the mixed starter. Beautifully presented and very tasty. Our mains of Red Curry, Pad Thai and a few other tasty dishes were piping hot and plentiful. The service is friendly and efficient. Some lovely background music and Christmas decor made for a super evening. Prices are very reasonable too for the quality and quantity of food. We can't wait to go return in the New Year.

Great place to be, excellent drinks selection, food is 5 star. If you’re after a cosy atmosphere for a drink or a nice meal look no further.

Visited here on bank holiday Monday. I ordered Beef massaman curry which is one of my favourite meals. I was so disappointed, the sauce was so thin and the amount of beef could be put on one tablespoon. We never saw the man who took our order again. No one asked us if our food was ok . This used to be a good restaurant so I can only put it down to being a BH and limited staff , but then we were the only people eating in there so they were not even busy. Will not be eating there again.

We have been eating at Suwannas over the last few years and have always enjoyed the food and warm welcome provided by the staff. We are sorry to say that our visit on Saturday (6th December) we were served by a short, rude waitress who was abrupt, insolent, completely unprofessional and totally lacked any 'customer care skills'.  I have to say that the other waiting staff looked like they were doing a good job and were happily serving customers. The owner as always, stood by the till scowling at everyone. A 10% service charge was included in the bill and we would not have chosen to tip this member of staff. The food is not bad, but is a bit bland, which is not what I expect from a thai restaurant.  Sadly, after this experience, we will not return for more. Eating out is not cheap these days, and I expect a little bit more for my money and to enjoy the experience.

Beautiful Thai food, authentic and full of flavour. We had veggy green curry and rice takeaway for two andxwe will certainly be back. Best we've ever had!
