One of the best Turkish restaurants I have been to in Northwood! Food was amazing but service was even better. The waitress was Hilal made sure that everything was perfect from the minute we entered the restaurant. Thank you! The service is one of the reasons we will be going back again!!

I would like to commend the waiter Ilyas. Our food was timely and he was very attentive. He even managed to upsell us turkish tea. I don't normally have that here. A great evening dinner out. With excellent service.

Great atmosphere, polite and friendly staff and great food. What more could you ask for? Portions were huge in comparison to the size of the appetite and if I could, I would finish their delicious food. Even the kids portion with chips was plentiful. What do I compare this to? Izgara, Hatch End! Which in comparison was awful (see my Hatch End reviews). Izgara, Northwood food was cooked really well with excellent flavours.

Second time eating here. We booked a table for 9, spent over £350 but was told we had to leave after 2hours as other customers were waiting for a table! Wow. The food is pricey and the restaurant is cramped as they’ve tired to maximise seating at the expense of customer comfort. Meat quality isn’t anything special - £120 for a sharing mixed platter with only a few pieces of chicken / lamb cubes and three chops. The white rice was dry and tasted stale. I asked if they can offer us complimentary tea, as is the norm in any Turkish restaurant, and as they’ve done in the past, but was told that Turkish tea had ‘run out’ despite seeing other customers drinking Turkish tea. I mean just say no sorry we can’t instead of an untruth. They only care about money and wanted us out ASAP so they could bring the next lot of paying customers in. I will not be coming back

Very low standard. We had ordered shrimps for starter, they were very overcooked almost burnt. The main course lamb chops were so tough and very large pieces looked they came from an over matured old lamb and a very bad aftertaste. I don’t recommend this restaurant. We ordered baghlava and ice-cream which was not so bad and were outsourced and they didn’t make them in this restaurant. We were served by waiters wearing a gray apron with big water marks on them and all wet in two occasions.

Have been here lots of times. We went today for a birthday party, booked for 15 people. Had an amazing time. Great food and service. Friendly and polite staff. Thanks again!

No complaints with the food or service. However they do seem to have hiked up their prices considerably over the last few months and reduced the portion size!

Very welcoming with polite and attentive staff. Sunday was a little quiet but gave my wife and I the opportunity to just relax, converse and enjoy our food without too much noise. Food is always good and never had to wait too long for it to be served.

Same restaurant different experience. We went for dinner once on a weekday and other on Sunday and had completely different experience in terms of food. The food on weekday is much much better than on werkend. For eg the falafel and hummus tasted much better on weekday. They were completely bland and oily on weekend but Baklava was better and not so sweet on weekend. Also the price is expensive for the food quantity. Its going to be long before i visit there again and definitely on weekdays

The restaurant is quite nice, food is okay all around but the price for lamb chops( 3 very small pieces) is outrageous, the meal should be served as a starter at half of the price. I won't be visiting againg, it's too expensive on most of the courses and not worth it.

The food was OK. all waiters,which I found strange and uncomfortable. I didn't think there was any need to have so many waiters as all they seemed to do was constantly walk up and down and bring the atmosphere down. We felt rushed and the restaurant was very quiet. I think having a mix of waiters and waitresses would be so much better. Decor was lovely, just a shame about the vibe.

If I can give more than 5 stars I would definitely do! The most amazing Turkish food and service me and my family ever had and we have been to Turkey several times. Amazing food, incredibly delicious grills, chopsticks are heavenly. The staff is beyond amazing and we were looked after by Salih, Aziz, Jumaa and they are incredibly great. This is now a top place for me and my family and we will definitely come back again!

The best grilled and grilled vegetables I have eaten in a long time. The staff are very nice and helpful. The prices are affordable and Turkish coffee is served. The food is delicious.

We came in during the afternoon and had the lunchtime two course menu. We had mix grill. The service was fantastic, very fast and the staff were very attentive to ensure everything was nice with the food. . Honestly the meat was so tasty and definitely worth a try. The restaurant atmosphere was delightful and the decor is a very nice setting to enjoy a relaxing lunch Or evening meal. Definitely will be coming back A++++++

Google should add a few more stars for service. Salih was our server and her was spectacular. Attentive to our group of 5, made excellent suggestions and (shhh - don't tell the boss!) he spoiled us. Must be because he likes Canadians. We had an amazing meal.

Consistency is key and the service + food has been perfect ever since i started going to Izgara Northwood (The only izgara i will ever recommend) I must admit Salih is really a nice person and really assists genuinely in choosing from menu. Salih is really good at his job and gives top notch service to customers. My special recommendation would be their Sea Bass , Hot mezze platter and baklava with passion fruit virgin mojito.

Izagara NORTHWOOD has become our “go to” restaurant whenever we are in North West London because the food is superb, the staff are incredibly friendly and they make you feel like you are the only customer. Sali in particular clearly takes his job seriously and is passionate about serving up the best baklava on the planet!! We have tried their other branches but sadly the service and the food can be described as “bland” at best (particularly the Edgware branch, where they just left us waiting for second rate food for over half an hour). NORTHWOOD Izgara are the Kings!!!

I went there for my friends engagement dinner. It was a group of maybe 20 people in the room upstairs. The food was decent for the price I suppose but it does not reflect equally in the service we received. The waiter was extremely rude when it came to paying the bill. He made a big huff and puff when we requested if we could split the bill. In doing so he even said next time bring cash. Funny he thinks there will be a next time at all! His behaviour and attitude towards us was very rude and not professional at all. Will not be going again.

Izgara has a charcoal grill that provides freshly grilled meat and fish dishes. We had a wonderful time with friends and lovely service. Prices are normal and definitely nice to have.

Recently had dinner here with family, everyone loved it. The food and service was amazing. Sali was our waiter and made our night. We ordered the hot and cold meze, and the amazing bread kept on coming (complementary). The mixed grill platter was a dream and lamb chops were done really well. We finished off with the amazing Baklava and Sali gave an amazing presentation of cutting it and filling it with icecream. Defo would come back again and again

I wouldn't come back. Ordered veggie kebab as mains. The food was mediocre, wasn't spiced well, infact it tasted sweet, even after adding salt and pepper!! Portion size is small as well, for the prices.

Service was 0 stars, worst service ever. Food was bland, doesnt compare to hatch end branch. Waste of time.

Very disappointed, staff attitude diabolical right from the entrance took a while to allocate a reserve table only to be told we have to leave by 7, table booked for 5.15 table given at 5.40. Food rushed all the food had no flavor and all meat and chicken dishes were served dried. Also too expensive for few dried meat pieces and small salad. Thoroughly disappointed 😞

We loved this izgara. Food was really tasty and portions very generous. There were 15 of us! Looked after by the staff very well too.

We had the two course lunch meal and some extra sides. Everything was nicely cooked and tasted delicious.

Service upon entry was good , and the food and presentation was amazing . But the servers seemed more intrested in the tables that were spending the most money . I waited a while for my table to be cleared then 15 mins before I had to ask for the bill ….. I never got asked if I’d like desert i took my custom elsewhere for desert .

Poor quality service and food . Luke warm vegetarian main course . Disappointing starters very basic nothing special at all . Standard food , expensive for what it was . Unhappy looking staff I don’t think anyone smiled which is a shame .

We were a table of 4 and had looked forward to our meal at Izgara. Unfortunately the food was not great, presentation was very poor and it was all wildly overpriced. Lamb chops were cooked to death and came with a very dull salad; the only thing missing was a polystyrene container! Roasted vegetable side was over £8 and a very small and sad looking portion of tabbouleh salad over £6. The restaurant was busy enough but we won't be returning.

Lovely greeting as each of us walked in. We had a nice table at the bottom of the stairs so didn't feel crowded in, the decor is very nice, the food delicious, service was great.

On our first (and last) visit, I became very sick from something I had in this restaurant. I don’t know what is happening in the kitchen, but at least some of it is not good.

Brought my family here for my mums birthday, the food was lovely, nice atmosphere inside and the service was 10/10. Our waiter Saleh (not sure how to spell it) really went above and beyond. Amazing service for the price.

Went for lunch today first time at this branch. It wasn’t busy and only two tables including ours was occupied. Unfortunately the service was sub par, requested water twice but was ignored. Wouldn’t go there again and recommend to anyone. From the looks of it there have been other customers with sub par experiences. Go elsewhere.

We had a double 50th birthday celebration with a group of 20. Had an amazing and very memorable evening out. Our host/waiter SALI was very accommodating and made the evening run smoothly. Food was also fantastic, quick service and good portion sizes with a great variety of Vegetarian Vegan options. will certainly revisit again.

Food and service was great so complaints. We stayed for hours and they never rushed us out which was a really nice! They do have xmas decor still up but no big deal.
