All nine of us chose food from the xmas menu, we all agreed that each course was excellent and great value for money. Also very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this lovely village pub

First time visitor today had a roast and couple of lagers and must say the food was lovely the barman and lady was friendly and great service. the atmosphere was great will be returning for sure.

This is the best fish and chip shop in the area. Good food at very reasonable prices served by lovely, friendly people. Be aware however they only take cash, no cards or cheques. Highly recommended 😊

Utterly sensational. This small Cafe is one of my absolute favourites for a nice fry-up. The family run business is so personable too, always make an effort to remember you and your regular order, always friendly and always welcoming. Happy to make adjustments. Just fabulous.

Without doubt the best Indian restaurant in Hitchin. The food is excellent, along with the service and guys who work in the restaurant are absolutely fantastic, love it.

About food every one is writing good but I Have seen videos on Facebook the owner is racist to transgender people when they are using toilets the owner need to change his behaviour

I understand people are sat at the front of the pub to make it look busy to people passing by. We booked our table yet we were put on top of others at the front even tho it was half empty i was dissapointed but i didnt realise how awful the seating was until i realised people were walking in off the street squeezing past us, i could understand if it was full ! The broccoli side in a skillet was cold as was the veg with fish pie.

Unfortunately it's rather cold in there during the wintry weather. Lack of open fire makes it feel even less welcoming.

Service very slow and in one case non existence. Rude staff as well.
