The best restaurants in Waveney East of England

This is a regular destination for us. Once a month we collect about 15 meals for the workforce. The fish is good quality, the chips are a good potato variety and all cooked to perfection. Friendly and helpful staff too.

I visited here with my daughter and her family, and it was a treat of a place. The Sunday roast was delicious and the Yorkshires to die for. The staff were attentive and friendly. The puddings were glorious. Will definitely return.

Staying in Lowestoft with friends for a girly weekend and decided to visit iconic for lunch…have to say the food was outstanding..great value..came out quick..cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced…service was great beautiful place to visit we would highly recommend and look forward to returning thank you iconic you were an absolute delight

The Quays cafe is right along the southern gateway to the broads. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good service and drinks along with cakes etc. The views are amazing . Oulton Broad is a well known as a thriving centre for watersports, with powerboat racing, canoeing and its Thursday night speed boat racing. Could spend a time just watching the boats etc ,but this is a great place to stop.

Wow, What a fish & chip shop as simply awesome, Very friendly owner as very nice staff, Great prices & as for the fish & chips , 10 out of 10, I am some would say a fussy eater, Everything is spot on here & the curry sauce is just fab too, The is by far the best fish & chip shop i have been too thus far......

Very consistent with previous review Two kids running the place who were really doing their best They were were run ragged with no support from the people who own the business The standards of this establishment are appalling

As a stranger to the area, checked the website that shows the shop was open. It wasn't so went to the other shop at the other side of town, where the food was excellent ,the staff friendly and very busy, good luck to them. They deserve it.

Absolutely awful! My grandfather was gutted as apparently this palce used to be amazing. Now is dirty, rude woman (I presume owner) who was more interested in the rude rowdy group of lads outside making them comfortable than those who were ready to spend properly. We went somewhere else. As the Aboard at bottom of road said food. They don't do food. Yet a board said otherwise. But the group of lads out front where a joke. So rude and loud. Feel so sorry for those who live near. 😞 as we came back past to head to our air bnb later that night few police cars outside. Which we weren't surprised about as just a really gross place. Which is so sad as grand parents said it used to be amazing few years ago.

Me and my fiancée came for date night, we loved it. Staff are very polite and food is amazing ❤️ all fresh and hot. Highly recommend. Great priced too

Use this chinese alot and had nice food but tonight the food was disgusting. Bland and the beef was like rubber if in fact it was even beef. It went straight in bin. I will not use this chinese again as it was that bad.

We had our Christmas party for 64 people The food was delicious and all came out hot and together, they catered for special dietary requirements, very impressed with the service, . All aspects of the evening from start to finish were excellently managed by Abbey and her team. All Staff were friendly and so helpful. I would recommend for any party occasion.

I visit the Cut Cafe at least once a week at lunchtime. This is a cafe run by volunteers in a facility with so many activities,. The staff are so friendly and the soup and garlic bread at lunchtime absolutely delicious. They also do more substantial meals in the evening particularly before a film or event. The new chef has only been there for about four months . I highly recommend it and would encourage people to go a long and taste the food for themselves. I’m sure it will be just the first of many visits .

The pizza is always on point and tastes wonderful, you can even eat it another day cold or warmed up and tastes just as good. We ordered 3 pizzas, one margarita, one pepperoni and one choose your own and they were wondeful! We also had a garlic cheesy bread pizza which was great and 2 lots of large chips which were perfect! This place clears dominoes, papa johns and pizza hut

Happy to have found a fish n chip bar open in the middle of the afternoon. with really tastey options. Large cod was super sized, had regular cod and other items. Friendly service too.

Used these many times, very tasty and well priced, never had a bad meal yet ,friendly staff and owners , so lucky to have this on my doorstep
