What a little gem of a cafe! Next to a decent sized car park, we popped into Yam Frae Yam on a disgustingly wet Saturday afternoon. We had missed the breakfast menu (served until 12) but one of us had a bacon and brie panini and lemon meringue blondie. Both were delicious and great quality. We both also had coffees which were expertly made. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, even giving us recommendations on walking trails locally and showing us specific routes on Google maps. Loved the unusual decor and the cafe felt spacious - unlike many others where you feel like you're sat on top of other customers! A lovely place to spend a few hours on a rainy afternoon. We hope to return again and sample the breakfast menu! And a shout out to the young lad working there who served our drinks and food and was proactive in clearing our table.

Just been for my first meal in their new premises in the Rum Story (Lowther Street). Absolutely delicious smoked sausage pasta dish, good value too and more than I could eat but they were quite happy to give me a box so that I could take the rest home. Staff were all cheerful and helpful despite being extremely busy. The Rum story provides such a nice atmosphere too. Although we ate in the café itself, the courtyard is great for giving the feel of sitting outside without getting cold and wet.

Excellent service and great full English and breakfast cobs with extras. We arrived a little after the 11.30 end of breakfast, but were still able to have breakfast, we also had a cafetiere for 4. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Just what we needed after our 4 mile walk along the beach.

We have been many times for the all day breakfast, it is very good and great value for money. Well done to Sam for working hard to keep a small village pub open.

A stunning find down near the estuary. Andrew and Jenny have developed it into a quick bite cafe but with delicious homemade soup, bread, sausage rolls, pasties and fantastic cakes, waffles and ice cream. The blue vanilla Ravenglass social ice cream with chocolate and honeycomb is to die for. Whatâs not to like. Go there and tuck inâŠ.you wonât be disappointed.

Went last weekend with visiting family, Our granddaughters Birthday next week, But we took a cake with us and asked if they could bring it out with the candles we provided, They turned the lights off and we all sang Happy Birthday to her including staff and other diners. Food was amazing, that's why we have been again today. Staff Brilliant đ Very clean and nothing is to much trouble. See you all again soon. Patrick & family

Food in here is always amazing and served fresh. The staff are friendly and provide service with a smile. Cocktail specials available, making it the perfect place for food before a night out. I have been here for lunch, casual drinks, tea & a birthday party! Easily one of the best places in Whitehaven! Thank you x
