The best restaurants in East Riding of Yorkshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

Bought plain ice creams today. When they arrived they are made with coco and tasted awful. Dreadful taste to them.

Sunday lunch. Roast beef. Piping hot. Good service. Will definitely return.

Food was excellent and price was ok. Just be aware that if you are talking and drinking it seems you have a bigger gap between courses than others. 😊. 3 hours for 2 courses seemed slightly excessive and the bar bill ended up costing almost as much as the food. Our own fault entirely (we weren’t forced to drink) but helped by the big gaps between courses.

Excellent food. We hadn’t read reviews and just popped in for lunch. Unexpectedly delicious and generous meals. I ate dish of the day belly pork. It was actually a roast dinner served with Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, mashed and roast potatoes, and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables- carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, and lashings of gravy. I should probably have requested the small portion. My companion had vegetable lasagna which came with garlic bread, salad and the biggest chips we’d ever seen. Not somewhere to visit for the ambience, but for wholesome food at very fair prices it is highly recommended.

Wir waren 2x da, einmal zu Zweit, einmal zu Dritt. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Portionen eher gross, sicherlich ausreichend. Atmosphäre etwas laut, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Service, da gleichzeitig ein Take Away, war genügend bis gut, hat ausreichend und nett nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war. Preis/Leistung war sehr gut.

I’ve been several times with my walking group and it’s one of my favourite places to stop! Always welcoming and the food is fresh and delicious. I’m told the scones are the best around (and we visit a lot of tearooms!) They are always very accommodating when I message to book for walkers, reserved for 10 persons the other day! Most recently I had the tuna melt panini and it’s amazing. I’d recommend booking if you want to be sure of a table at this popular tea room.

One person in front of me ,yet I waited 10 minutes for fish and chips to be fried .. Food it's self 3 stars only ...

Average food.Long wait. Locals seemed to get priority. Rude language. would not return. very rude staff. People kept starring & commenting on our accents as we weren't local.

AMAZING! Food was brilliant as was the cake and coffee and all for an amazing price. They couldn’t have been nicer to myself and my grandma - those ladies need an award!!! Will definitely be going back

Been afew times before. As good as ever. Lovely fish and chips and sausage for my trusty dog. Good value for money. Not dog friendly but the very friendly guy came to door to take my order. There are a couple of steps, but if you can't manage them there's a bell and again they come you. Can recommend this chippy.

Just had a lovely visit to Hornsea and decided to try this chippy. Due to Covid you couldn't enter so therefore couldn't see what the fish and chip portions were like. All boxed and paid £7.50 for fish and chips for four. Shocked on opening...

Surprised to see negative reviews. We had a lovely stay. Welcomed on arrival, the attack room is a high standard in all aspects and surprisingly quite despite being over the front bar. All amenities you would expect . I’d recommend the pizzas out back. Hot and tasty while priced well. Parking out front available but not dedicated to guests. Not a problem as there are ample. The pub Makes its own beers and again really good and offered at a good price. I’ve seen negative comments about the owner and staff, we found them polite and helpful. The location is great, not near the front but old town which is excellent for pubs and restaurants Now. The breakfast was a real high point. Well cooked and plentiful served with a smile. We will be booking again for the same weekend. My advice is ignore the negative and give it a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Went for tea due to hearing good reviews and was staying near by! Very disappointed my sons chicken nuggets batter was raw... Its very over priced for a working mans club/campsite pub.

Visitamos Brid varias veces al año y siempre tenemos nuestro pescado y patatas fritas para llevar de Brid Bay. Nuestro último día fue el Boxing Day (por segundo año consecutivo) y fue genial como siempre. El pescado se despelleja y se recubre con una masa realmente crujiente y ligera y las patatas fritas también están bien cocidas. El personal es eficiente y amable y el lugar está impecable. Muy recomendable! Propina - es solo efectivo.
