Great staff, lovely atmosphere and tasty food, great value, all together a really pleasant day out. This is how all pubs should be, it makes it worth while knowing your going to get great service in clean surroundings within a quality setting, well done.

I have eaten at Clark's for over 25 years but now I will never eat here again. I am sick to death of the staff being rude and lazy thus resulting in poor hygiene and poor food. I ordered a chicken tikka Jacket potato with salad. I was told they had no salad except cucumber and tomato. When I got into my vehicle and opened the box I had the smallest jacket potato ever that was so cold it hadn't even begun to melt the butter or cheese, 3 pieces of cucumber and a bit of soggy tomato. Disgusting! I went back in to get my money back and saw staff cutting up lettice. So clearly the woman who told me no salad couldn't be bothered to chop it. The staff are rude and snappy, it's a hassle to serve you. The whole place is grimy so Im not suprised by how low their hygiene rating is. I've also rung up to order food to collect and been told that they don't do that (an omlette) when I've been ordering it for the last few years. They just can't be bothered to do it. Avoid if you want nice food and nice service.

After a visit to the Polar Express we decided The Reubenâs looked like a good option for dinner. Oh how wrong we were, the food was dreadful, our children opted for the home made Pizza with chips and beans, they took one bite of the pizza and that was it. It didnât look great and after trying it myself I couldnât bring myself to force the children to eat anymore. My wife had the beef pie and that was poor with poor quality meat and the pastry was rock hard, the accompanying veg was also dry and some of the carrots were black. I had the Lamb Curry, the meat in it was tough and more like mutton and the curry itself was not very tasty at all. I decided to finish with a latte that tasted like hot water with frothy milk! Onto the service, not once were we asked how our meal was and given the waitress took every plate back to the kitchen with at least 50% of the food remaining on the plates, my first question would have been was everything okay with your meal. But nope the waitress did not enquire if everything was okay, my wife even said to the waitress that the kids food was inedible which the waitress did not acknowledge! The service was slow and the staff not very attentive focusing more on the locals in the bar. Whilst waiting to order we enquired as to what the soup was the waitress wasnât sure and went off to find out never to return with the answer! I am not one to complain and have never left a review of anything previously but given our experience was so poor I felt compelled to write this review.

On a whole the food was ok , quick , warm and reasonably priced. However we will not be returning for the attitude of the staff. The manner and tone of how the female staff talked about and to the delivery driver is disgusting. Shouting at him In front of customers for absolutely no reason and answering his polite questions with pure arrogance. In any workplace , if the roles were reversed, these people would be sacked for such verbal abuse. Driver needs a raise !

Good evening. Lovely bar meal very well presented. Hot choc fudge cake yum. Recommend this pub, under new management during covid. Under the current circumstances they need a lot of local support to give them a chance.

I came here with mam for a cuppa, though partly because another place up the street had closed - at half 2! This is a nice little place with disabled access and a mixed toilet, which I didn't have an issue with. They had just stopped serving food when we got there but we weren't hungry anyway after a cooked breakfast at Mainsgill on the A66.

Cosy and friendly little cafe attached to the Millbry Hill shop but with its own entrance looking out over the bridge and the River Leven in Stokesley. Would definitely recommend the cheese scones.

Absolutely excellent cafe. A lovely warm welcome and offer of help with my companions, some of whom had mobility issues. The service and food was absolutely lovely and not overpriced and everyone gave them a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. There is very easy access to cafe and toilets and we shall return. Thanks to all the lovely staff đ

It was the 22/12; we were offered 2 tables and opted for the one in a warm area. Staff were all fine as was the food however the prices were proportionately high compared to other similar quality eateries. Our final bill was incorrect however this was easily rectified. Wine range was quite good but again attracted premium prices. The hotel (Aldwark Manor) is nice enough and room rates are very competitive; more so than the restaurant prices.
