The best restaurants in Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

Lovely little pub, just a stones throw away from the centre of Pateley Bridge. Passing through the area and we stopped off for a drink and dessert. Would recommend to book as there wasn't a huge amount of tables inside.

A very nice and friendly place. It was quite busy when I first went in but I was welcomed and shown a seat. I only had a tea and a scone but they were excellent quality. The toilet was clean and tidy. The building is Grade II listed and there were a number of old pictures of it on the wall. Will definitely return if I'm ever in Ripon again.

My wife and I have just had three lovely days in Harrogate. On each day we visited the tea rooms. Excellent cakes, scones, teas and coffee combined with old fashioned service All the cakes etc are home made In my view not to be missed if visiting this delightful town

Yesterday evening we had delivered the most amazing meals from Moti Raj restaurant. We started with most tender Chicken Tikka starter. Then to a Nirali Special a beautiful meal which everyone should try then a Chicken Tikka Malaya, another amazing dish. All our courses tasted sensational. You can taste the best of spices in every mouthful. A truly wonderful restaurant and the attention of every staff member.

We visited for lunch today as we have done on many occasions. However, I am just giving some honest constructive criticism. For the first time since the pancake house opened our pancakes were thick, overdone and tough. Hopefully this was a glitch in a usually tasty experience.

We went for a Sunday lunch and ate in the bar area. It's a lovely traditional pub area - we loved the atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I would recommend the Ox Cheek - the most tender I've ever eaten and the desert was delicious too. Would highly recommend!

Excellent coffee and friendly service. All of their coffees are single origin as well so the quality is far better than 99.9% of coffeeshops.

Came for Sunday lunch and had turkey! So well presented and very tasty! This is a great village pub and the team take great care in the presentation, attitude and overall cleanliness of the pub. No grumpy landlord here!

My friend and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here today - had initially booked for just me and my dog but the booking, with a couple of days, was easily changed to 2 adults and 3 dogs. My lunch was fantastic and I enjoyed every mouthful (have been quite poorly so it was extra delicious) -my friend thoroughly enjoyed her choice too. The dogs loved the biscuits as well. Thank you and will be certainly coming back very soon

Made to feel very welcome after we stumbled upon the place. Food was exquisite did everything they could to cater for me as I only wanted soup and some vegetables. Hubby had a pie and it looked delicious he absolutely cleared his plate. I had potato and leek soup which I can tell you would be worth the 80 mile trip from home to have again.

First time we've had the pleasure of dining and staying at the Timble Inn. From check in to check out nothing was too much for them. The room was great with a separate sitting room area. The evening meal was first class and definitely worthy of the gold star awards and AA rosettes. We will certainly be going back

Second visit and it didn’t disappoint. The menu was interesting, the food beautifully presented and delicious, the service relaxed, friendly, warm and attentive. The location is stunning and the grounds perfect for a post lunch stroll. Here’s the icing on the cake… having not double checked he’d be ok in the restaurant (remiss of us, I know…) we arrived with our dog in tow… the front desk team were amazing! Bruno was whisked away and babysat in the office - phew, and talk about above and beyond. The team at Swinton are the friendliest, most can do and authentically warm I think I’ve ever come across. P.s. perhaps for those planning a visit perhaps don’t plan on your pooch being looked after unless you’ve checked before - don’t want to start a trend…😱 A perfect Sunday lunch. Thank you all.

My favourite take away of all time, the shesh tawook with chips pickles and garlic is the best! Would highly recommend!

Excellent sandwich. Had the open club . Plenty of chicken and bacon. The salad with it a really nice bonus with some surprises like Beetroot. Coffee good to. Service hospitable and relax. An enjoyable half hour. Thank you

We called in last week for a refresher after a riverside walk,we both had hot chocolate and i had fruit cake with wensleydale cheese and my wife had teacake everything was lovely and the service from Sharon was excellent.Today we called in for lunch,my wife ordered a cheese and onion panini and i had chicken curry.My wife really enjoyed her panini served with salad and coleslaw and the curry was served with rice,chips,mango chutney and a poppadom, both were very tasty,the curry was superb,chips and rice well cooked and the service was very good.A lot of locals use the tearoom which to me says all you need to know.
