The best restaurants in England

Although it was empty for a Saturday night (strange) the decor was very youthful with a very fresh vibe. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. They had a large range of sharing plates, pizzas and drinks! Having ordered the pizzas they arrived so quickly and oh my word they were to die for!! The other half said it was the best pizza he’s ever had! (Hot and spicy) - he’s not easy to please! If we’re ever visiting Bodmin again we will be back!

Fantastic Chicken for a great price and large portions. I eat here for lunch most days of the week. I recommend the bonless box and the pitta.

A proper ‘greasy spoon’ cafe. Arrived to find it full of tradesmen having their breakfast (a good sign). This was for a catchup with an old friend. I went for a bacon roll whilst my friend had the No. 1 breakfast. Both were superb. Staff were friendly. We sat chatting for probably 35 minutes after finishing our food and drinks and no issues. Probably half the price of the Bakehouse down the road. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely addition to the Tunbridge Wells casual dining scene. There has been a need for a real Mexican restaurant for years, not Tex mex rubbish of previous establishments. Great selection of cocktails 🍸 tequila, mescal & passionate staff.to talk you through the menu. Could do with a slightly extended menu as the food on offer is so good & more music to add to atmosphere.

Absolutely outstanding fish and chips! Crispy yet fluffy chips cooked to perfection, beautiful fresh fish with the lightest batter. We also had pineapple fritters, which were the best we've ever tasted. We found Charlie's by chance after reading a blog recommendation as a last-minute dinner, we were so impressed we went back again on our holiday. Huge thank you to the staff for being so kind and friendly. You are really great ambassadors for Truro and your business.

The best burger I have eaten, all the smash burgers and chicken burger were delicious, seasoned and served with a smile. What a view as well, a visit here can’t be missed!

Decided to visit this establishment as an overdue Valentine’s Day meal with my girlfriend following some great reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its expectations. There were only two members of staff on (who you could see were really rushed off their feet so we did feel somewhat sorry for - they were evidently trying their best). However, an hour and a half wait for nice but cold food was a bit far. During that time nobody came to offer further drinks or to check on us. We were served the meal without cutlery (by the chef?!), which again we had to wait further for. Nobody checked that we were enjoying our meal (or even returned upstairs), if they had, we would have informed them it was cold. Our second round of drinks 2 hours after the first arrived with the wrong drinks order. The decor is lovely however upstairs was cold and there was no music. The establishment certainly has the potential to be great but our experience was very much the opposite to that otherwise described on here.

Very quaint and quirky cafe with a lovely atmosphere. We had the most amazing afternoon tea, simply delicious 😋 the staff are very friendly and engaging. Don't worry if you can't manage it all, as you get a dinky box to take home everything you can't manage. Thank you for a super afternoon! Loved it 💖

An immense thank you for being part of our event. The pizza is incredible and if you are looking for food for an event you must book two cents. Nic creates the most delicious pizzas, she provides a fantastic service from start to end and overall enjoyable experience.

Absolutely fabulous staff, nothing is too much trouble. Even offered to go to the shop for us to get drinks. We were presented with a lovely cake at the end for our party to share. Each of us received a hug on entering as though we were old friends - fantastic. The food is very good and very reasonable.

Excellent food and service very accommodating. Meals were a good size and selection of house wines also good. Will definitely go another time and recommend to others. Top class!

This place exceeded my expectations! The sushi was very fresh and tasty and the tempura prawns were very crispy! The owner was very friendly and he suggested some different sushi rolls for us to try and they all tasted amazing. I only had one picture because my boyfriend and I ate all the food so quickly😂 The best sushi in chelmsford I have tried so far I would definitely go again.

Pleased to find three Vegetarian options on the menu. Ellie went the extra mile to adapt the menu to cater to the likes of our American friends. We all had Falafel Salads and they were absolutely delicious. We only lacked the weather to sit outside with a wonderful view, but that was beyond everyone’s control.
