The best restaurants serving American food in England

A regular local favourite. On the last three ocassions we have been part as of a large party and despite that the quality and service never fall below excellent. Top burgers and good value for money.

Staff are lovely however the food is not great at all. It is clearly all frozen food. The Pepsi max was flat. Not very nice and wouldn’t return.

This is not the first time this restaurant has let us down, but it will be the last. Between them Bun & Bar & Uber-Eats managed to deliver our not inexpensive Valentine’s Day dinner well over an hour late & stone cold. No explanation, no apology and definitely no more chances. Avoid!

Llegamos el 31 de diciembre con una cita previa de dos meses, en horario. Nos hicieron esperar en la puerta por más de 40 minutos con dos niños y el frío de Londres. Cuando nos asignan la mesa comenzaron a apurarnos para que ordenáramos el menú. Sin haber finalizado los platos una señora se presentó y nos comentó que necesitaban la mesa porque tenían otras reservas, y nos trajo la cuenta. Con niños sin poder finalizar su comida lo cual nos indicaron que podían terminar en la barra. En menos de cinco minutos se acercaron tres personas diferentes pidiéndonos si podíamos abonar y liberar la mesa, ante las reiteradas insistencias y sin la opción de poder comer un postre abonamos y nos retiramos.

Although I would not spend 5 pounds on a cookie regulary, this truly blew my mind and was so worth the hype. As I am indecisive, I asked the staff to recommend one of two cookies for me, as we are travelling and I wanted to have the best experience. The guy behind the counter was really sweet and recommended the miso-white choco one. It was the cookie of my dreams - with a crunchy outside, gooey middle and an explosion of flavours when you first bite into it! The white chocolate was a bit too sweet for me and I could only finish half of the cookie as it was super filling as well, so I would say it is enough for 2 people. Do not know about other cookies but miso-white chocolate was heavenly!

Vinimos a cenar y comimos hamburguesas con papas fritas y un lado de espinacas con cócteles en lugar de bebidas alcohólicas. Las hamburguesas eran excelentes, así como las papas fritas (porciones más grandes que cuando llegamos por última vez) y las espinacas también estaban deliciosas. En general, una comida muy agradable.

Awful customer service. For such a small business, that I’ve heard good things about, their customer service is really bad. Not sure if he’s the owner, but he was rude. A smile would go far it’s not hard :) x

Qué gran lugar para venir. Un pub local, en una tranquila ubicación residencial, con la tan buena comida, gran servicio y gran ambiente. La música en vivo es genial, no es tan fuerte que no se pueda escuchar o hablar, disfrutamos de todo. De hecho fuimos dos veces y fue igual de bueno la segunda vez.

You live and learn I guess. These are definitely relying on old reviews. Check the names from the 5 star reviews 😒 We Just came from here me and the wife. Fancy food titles on the menu, it looked great, we ordered then we Waited 30 min for food after we had ordered. At 25 min waiting they bought out apparently free nachos which were dry and soggy. Food then came and wasn't great at all, was actually terrible. Definitely shop bought patties and not fresh. Wife didn't eat half hers and left her coleslaw as she said that don't taste right at all. I took the chicken off my burger as that didn't taste right either. He came out asked us how our food was and from our reply he said, IF ITS NOT COOKED RIGHT ILL GO DO ANOTHER 1 😅🤣. WHAT!!!!. When we went to pay he said can we hang on while he adds it up. It was 2 orders that came to around £31 but was now £36.50 they added the apparently free nachos. We didn't want to argue over a few pound so I paid and we left. Hopefully not with the squits. I'd avoid this place and I think food and hygiene should be pay a visit.

Great service and choice of food .One of us is gluten intolerant the chef discussed what they could have food was excellent for us both. They had great choice of drinks too .

I lived across the street at 6 University Mansions from June through September of 1974 and after 50 years I’m finally returning this time with my wife and daughter! I simply can’t travel to London without returning to the Iconic Star and Garter…for lunch, drinks and sharing so many fond memories spent with new friends and my UK family…late night walks along the river and through Bishops Park…I cannot return to London without returning to the beloved Star and Garter…to reminisce…well of course…but also to discover and appreciate the changes that I know 50 years has surely brought…I have wonderful memories and great expectations…can hardly wait to walk through the doors and like MacArthur in the Philippines announce to the World …well actually more modestly to my family “I Have Returned”…🇺🇸•🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿•🇬🇧 ❤️🤍💙!!!

A midweek catch up with a friend and what an evening! The food, the service, the vibe was just spot on. Jim and the team were so attentive and nothing was too much… the scallops went down a treat (in 30 seconds) and we made sure to save room for delicious desserts - YUM! Tom & Amber X

Whilst the Brook's main dishes consist of battered and fried chicken and fish replacements from the asian supermarket (by the brand TKC, see pictures attached), the owner Thea - a miserably failed country singer- is literally one of the most passive aggressive, arrogant, evil, ungrateful and patronising employers I have ever had. 0 capability to own a business or take any responsibility or accountability, ever. As a vegan herself, it seems quite pretentious to brand yourself as someone who's nice to animals but a total bully to humans/ employees. This place looks closed for now and seems to have gotten what it deserved. Rebranding an already existing, asian product as your own, simply does sit not well with me and shouts peak of white entitlement.

On family evening out we looked for restaurant nearby and found this diamond restaurant. wonderful warm greeting, attentive staff, great menu, home cooking of great food done simply. 6 stars from us, A giant star from each of our party who enjoyed mains and delightful desserts. recommend a visit
