The best restaurants serving British food in Grove Kingston upon Thames London

I often bring my mum here as she loves the river and this is a great place to stop for a coffee and a bite to eat and is dog friendly. They offer a selection of sandwiches and salads which are freshly prepared and cakes as well as a very good coffee. There is seating just inside the building and plenty on the water front, you can easily loose an hour here watching the world go by. The cafe is clean, the staff always happy and helpful. Never had a bad sarnie or bit of cafe here, highly recommend. PS whoever did the paintings on the building is super talented and worth stopping to have a look at.

Had one of the worst English breakfast of my life. Nothing made fresh. Everything grey and flavour less. All just taken from a hot hold. This was a Monday lunch time with one other customer. So I can't see why things can't be made fresh? I've also got what I believe is good poisoning and it was the only meal of the day for me. Make of that as you will

This was an incredible venue and location for my registry wedding and mendhi party. Yash was fantastic in helping us plan, set up and organise the day. Sulthana was great as the on site coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly. Chef Gopal was helpful in planning the menu and providing wonderful food for the guests. We all had a lovely day, would definitely recommend the venue to others and can't thank the team enough.

Half arsed student bar. Do not order food on the app/website. Prices are alright for kingston. They run out of Guinness a lot. Don’t bother trying to order food as the kitchen usually closes at random times or it takes ages. Staff are clearly students doing a side job and the bar is rarely staffed enough. You will always be waiting at least 5 minutes to order a drink here. Not the staffs fault but the management need to hire more people or rota more people on during evenings and Friday/Saturdays.

Food was lovely, especially the chicken swchwama, and service was amazing ! Lily was our waitress and was very dutiful.

Nice cafe with very friendly service. It's quite small but there's an outside window to order to-go from, which is a brilliant idea. Our food was ok. I ordered pancakes which were nice but not normal pancakes, more cakey. My mum ordered a cake and my review was that it tasted healthy. It's not bad at all, but there are better places for food in the area

Beer was shocking very flat and tasted funny, place is very quiet for a Saturday is a shame as it use to be good when it was a hungry horse.

Called in for breakfast yesterday morning and when it arrived it was stone cold and this was when there was hardly any body in the place. It seems to be a constant thing with Wetherspoons food arriving cold, come on Tim have a word with your management team

Al igual que otras críticas que he leído, esto también solía ser nuestro ir - para colocar en Kingston. Estuve allí tantas veces en el pasado, y siempre solía estar ocupado, ya que la comida era fantástica. ¡Pero nuestra última visita será la última! Mi esposa estaba muy poco impresionada con su ensalada, uno de los baños estaba fuera de servicio, el otro no tenía rollo de baño. El olor de abajo hizo que comer fuera muy desagradable, y el lugar, en general, parecía bastante dramático. Podría seguir, pero creo que entiendes la deriva.

Poor customer service. Miserable staff. Left waiting no acknowledgement that I was even there. Left without getting anything. Just go elsewhere

The staff at the Kingston Huffkins are extremely professional, hardworking and polite. We always feel very welcome and comfortable and the coffee and food is very good too. Highly recommended.

My colleague twice sent his chicken burger back as it was undercooked. The staff were great about this and gave him a refund without him asking. I had a fish finger sandwich which I didn’t eat all of as something didn’t taste right. 6 hours later I was violently sick and had the hot and cold shakes all night long along with regular trips to the toilet. Can only assume it’s the food and would therefore never recommend this place to eat!!!
