The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Very disappointing, the kids had pasta which was the tiniest bowl you’ve ever seen, followed by grapes which were frozen, the adults had lasagne, which was like microwave meal with nothing else with it, not even a bit of salad. I had a Calzone, which was cold in the middle and was just a mass of dough. I would not return, very poor standard of food. We had to stop and get the kids a Burger King on the way home as they were both starving.

Extremely expensive £12 to £14.99 for a main course that was extremely small portions for the amount of money, and rice, chips or eggs fried rice were all £6 extra both again extremely small portions see photo of chips as served, the food was cold and lacking in flavour. The service wasn't much better. Drinks both soft and alcoholic were expensive too Wouldn't recommend sadly

We have had the most appalling service and now they won’t even answer the phone. Please don’t purchase from here. I have also reported them to the food hygiene council, so let’s see what happens then.

Lived in the area since 2017 and this place has the best king prawn chow mein, Smokey seasoned wok flavour included!

Nice friendly neighborhood chinese restaurant. We had family dinner. Friendly staff with super fast service. Food was ok. Few items were really good Singapore noodles and rice were fantastic.

Saturday lunch, the restaurant was empty - unsurprisingly as it turned out. We ordered prawn crackers, a quarter crispy aromatic duck - ok-ish but nothing special. The crispy pork (Harbin signature dish) was dry and tough. The steamed prawns in their shells were vastly overcooked: dry, rubbery and flavourless. Both main courses (at c. £23 each) came with no vegetables, just the protein. The prawns were served with some vermicelli. The egg fried rice was £6.50!!! We complained about the mains (especially the prawns). The waiter said he told the chef, who replied that that's how the prawns should be! With a coke and a beer, the bill came to £90. On the plus side, the restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated. The toilets are nice and very clean. Unfortunately, the food is badly cooked and overpriced. We won't be going back.

I never leave reviews but I had to leave one. I ordered a mixed starter for 2. Chicken chow mein. Beef satay some noodles., fried rice and chips. The starter was what I can only describe as poor. The prawn toast was really nice but the wonton looked as though it had been fried then refried 1 spring roll and 1 bbq rib which was drier than the Sahara desert. The rice was dry like it was yesterday's reheated, the noodles were rice noodles which were just watery. The chips must have been cooked the day before and just microwaved. Beef satay should be renamed beef vindaloo and the chow mein was dry. The only colour in the chow mein was the carrot which was raw. £40 wasted as most of it was inedible

Have used Panda Town for some time now and never had a bad takeaway. Usually use their delivery service which has always been reliable and the food is hot on arrival. Certainly the best takeaway in Haywards Heath, would highly recommend.

I'am not really sure what the negative reviews are all about to be honest. We booked a table for 4 and from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, the front of house staff were really nice, helpful and chatty. They asked about allergies at the start. We ordered a set meal for four comprising crackers, starters soup and then mains.....all of which were superb...highlights for me was the prawn toast and won ton for starters...not really had soup at a Chinese restaurant before but that was so nice...choice of chicken or crab...then the mains....well there was 4 and then we ordered chicken balls extra....the balls were a sensation as was the duck dish...actually there wasn't anything we didn't like and the serving plates were empty. Extra special fried rice was served when we asked and that on its own was really good too. Everything we had came out hot. We all had the 'Sun lik' larger on tap which was also very nice...the lady owner was so attentive, making sure we knew what we were ordering, answering our questions and just really having abit of banter with us too. Great night. All in all a good quality very tasty meal thank you.

First time visiting this restaurant. It was not very crowded and finding a table was easy. There was only one lady serving quite a few tables. This made the service slow. The food itself was good and has lots of veggie options. The ambience is neat and clean but is a bit dull.

As always, food is why I travel to Chandos. Excellent lemon chicken.

Attended with a work party of 17 for the karaoke. It was so good! Downstairs room is great and was big enough to by far for the group! Staff were brilliant, even the joke about £86 for 2 beers made me laugh! Will definitely be back, food next time as well! Thank you!

Lovely restaurant. We arrived as they were shutting but they still welcomed us in and served us delicious food. The beef in black pepper was amazing and my dad’s sweet and sour prawn dish was lovely. Couldn’t do enough for us! Thank you!
