What a surprise! This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time! Very unexpected. Food was refined, had a very unusual twist and each course was a wonderful experience. The staff was 100%. I only gave 3 stars for the atmosphere as the decor does not correspond with the food or the name of the restaurant. It looks like a typical boring and characterless airport hotel restaurant. However: do not judge a book by its cover!

We had a lovely meal at Bouvardia. A great fine dining menu with amazing options to explore new and unique flavours. The service was extremely friendly and super quick. For starters we tried the salmon tartare and beef brisket & smoked mozzarella ravioli. Mains we had the pork tenderloin and pan friend monkfish. All of the dishes were extremely fresh, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into each component of every dish. Would recommend giving it a try and if you’re visiting Bath, you can also stay in their hotel!

I was invited by a dear friend to Maison Bleue, for my 81st birthday. From start to finish the experience was pure class. The restaurant has a wonderfull calm atmosphere, a warm welcome, stylish service and comfortable seating not jammed to together, plenty of space. I was given a glass of champagne on my arrival, and the same for my friend who arrived a little later. The Amuse Bouche, was a great taste treat, we ordered a carafe of Pinot Noir and another of Sauvignon Blanc. As it happened we both had the beef tartare, very tasty and one of the finest I've had in ages. No surprise then, that we both ordered the Trout, with delicious potatoes and tiny carrots. No surprise then that once again we both ordered the creme brulee. with that extra little touch of taste added . With of course, ,yet another glass of champagne to have with the petit fours. The cheese board sounded delicious, we were full and sated by then, didn't even have room for coffee. Maison Bleue is one of our great restaurants in Bury St Edmunds, well known as the foodie capital of East Anglia.

We have been here many times before and will always be our favourite restaurant. Today we visited for the first time with our new addition to the family, our 11 month old Grandson. The service is always second to none but the way they accommodate you with a little one is heartwarming and above and beyond. Seb opened the side doors for us to make for easy access with the pushchair and every member of staff payed attention to our little man and treated him with such care and attention like a valued customer. Our grandson didn't eat much of his lunch so they boxed it up for him to take home. He is on a dairy free diet and the staff made sure all his requirements were met and explained everything else on the table for us.Thank you to everyone for making our lunch so enjoyable and special St Tropez
