The best restaurants serving Italian food in West Midlands

Afternoon all We're still in Birmingham. In the Jewellery Quarter. We were thinking of Otto for pizza. Not open at lunch times. Doh... Happened, purely by chance upon Trentina which was quite close by. A joyous discovery. Highly recommended if in this area. We had the following House salad Courgette mint garlic and buffalo mozzarella Salsa rossa grilled asparagus Calamarata with tuna, San Marzano tomatoes,capers, taggiasche olives. Each dish was delightful. The house salad especially. Lovely mix of lettuce, peach, mozzarella, walnuts, and seeds. Calamarata cooked al dente. Perfect.

Probably the worst dining experience of our lives which I don’t take any pleasure saying. We had never been here before but our friends are local And have They always spoke highly of the restaurant. The food, the atmosphere and service so we were so looking forward to going. The service was awful as we never received our focaccia bread or a bottle of red wine The portions were so small it resembled a starter and we all left hungry still. We understood from the 2 Asian ladies looking after the restaurant that the two Italian lady owners were busy setting up a new pizza parlour in Liverpool Street. I’m afraid that whilst you’re doing that your Woodford business is suffering Sad as I’m sure it’s taken you a lot of hard work to build

Our local Chinese was closed so I decided to try a local pizza .we had an Hawaiian and a veggie .the base was uncooked there was virtually no pineapple but when it can to the ham it was cut into the smallest squares you could get …will I return never should have gone across the road to papa John …

Great pizza.Always great delivery service with friendly drivers.Their new wraps are amazing.The pizzas and side dishes are really lovely - it's great to finally have such a nice pizza restaurant in Rubery.

These guys are scamming vulnerable people. taking deposits for weddings with no intention of providing any services, only to then go on to liquidate their businesses. Beware people. There is an ever-growing presence on social media regarding these issues.

We stumbled across this cafe by chance and are so glad we did! It’s a brilliant place to stop for coffee when you’ve been running errands in town and your little one needs to be released from the pushchair and to let off some steam. Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and nice child friendly decor. Lots for kids to look at / play with. There are a few things that would’ve made the experience better which we wanted to share (as constructive criticism!) because overall we really like the place and we’d love to see it thrive 😊 - there is only one toilet / baby changing facility so there was a constant queue when we were there. Once inside, it was a lovely space though! Maybe you could put multiple change tables in there so its a communal change space? - the coffee was delicious! - we ordered a cheese sandwich for our 2 year old. It came quickly (plus point!) but was very basic and not really worth the price tag in our opinion. - we saw a fruit platter being served to another table which looked nice We will definitely be back, but as it stands we would make a point of using the change facilities in the Priors first and wouldn’t plan to feed the kids. I went in asking for a burger, it was 12.06am they didn’t close till 2am. All I wanted was a burger, was told I couldn’t have one however 20 mins later I saw an uber order come through for a burger as I waitied for my chips, they carried on cooking the order, don’t particularly feel like that is a fair service.

A first visit here on a Wednesday lunchtime following some recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed and the food arrived quickly considering it was busy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will return soon! Best to book which is very simple online!

Heard bad things about this place but wanted to give it a chance. I called up to make a booking and the lady said, ‘Sorry, I am busy doing a wine tasting event so won’t be able to take your booking, can you call back in a few hours?’ A very good way to turn down business. I am not going to call back. The response and tone was rather dismissive. It was the tone that was shocking. Pay attention to the poor reviews, there’s a pattern! Edited to add: Very unprofessional reply back from the ‘Restaurant’. I could say a lot on this but I won’t stoop as low. What you could have done was recognise the unprofessionalism, apologise and try to make amends. Instead, your reply was illegible and sarcastic. I won’t take up journalism but perhaps the local social media pages would like to see the chain of negative reviews and replies.

I have ordered 20” pizza , actually more less every week, the pizza is very nice but this time I received pizza and I noticed it wasn’t enough topping on it, and I got kinda disappointed, i had to call and speak to the person who make my pizza , but he said that is impossible, he didn’t want to say oh im sorry if you was disappointed, at least he could try to make me happy by saying next time i make sure not happening again. Unfortunately i eat most that pizza because i was so hungry, but i took photos of some of the best piece to add in here .

Rude staff , arrived to the shop with my little kid are desperate for toilet , I thought let me use it before I order , I have seen some lady taking her daughter inside so I assumed toilet is operating,staff probably assumed that I’m just coming for the toilet and said toilet is out of order, regardless the fact they missed a costumer , it is literally inhumane to let a 5 years old boy struggle like that
