Visited whilst on holiday in the area. Recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Popular, friendly, delicious food, quick service and family orientated. Amazing gluten free options. No hassle. Adapted the menu if necessary. The only things you can't have is lasagne and calzones Huge portions! Lovely experience - thank you 😊

Just would like to give a shout out to our server today his name was Joe and served our table of 14 people . He was super polite and attentive , which made a meal more relaxed which is sometimes rare as we are a big party !. All our food was delicious and had no issues. Thank you

Lovely food and very helpful staff. My son has autism and will not eat anything in a sauce so asked if they could do plain pasta with a little mozzarella cheese on top when it came it was more like pasta in a cheese the owner knew it wasn't how I explained it needed to be and offered to change it straight away

I’ve been here a few times. The first time it was wonderful, the food was great but now I’ve been a few times the food and service is definitely on a decline. The waiter kept getting our order wrong. There’s nothing worse than a warm beer! The steak 🥩 “sad times” there’s no longer that nice thick juicy meaty steak that everyone looks forward to on a night out. It’s shrunk!! Well too thin. Two people on our table had the steak, it looked awful, for the price it was ridiculous. Honestly! The only thing that was half way good was the lasagna but I wouldn’t give it 5*. I’d like to go back there for the atmosphere but I think we’ll hold back until we can check reviews to see if there’s a major improvement. Oh and the chips were like cardboard!!

BAD EXPERIENCE - do NOT recommend. *UPDATE at the bottom* - As EVERYWHERE we go, I ask to change the type of pasta in the KIDS MENU for something more simple (Spagetti) Bolognese instead of penny or any other. It was NEVER a problem anywhere, until we got charged the total of an extra SIX (£6) at La Fontana!!!!!!! A total RIP OFF!!! The worst was the waiter trying to explain in so many different ways the reason for this absurd , he said first: "oh everywhere in Blackpool is like this" - LIER! we tried 2 different Italian restaurants and we were never charged any extra for something so silly! THEN He also said: "it was suppose to be only £1 extra", but AGAIN we were presented the bill and forced to pay the total of £6 (SIX)!! SO VERY CONTRADICTORY!! I mean, come on....we did NOT ask for any extra weight/portion, nor a special type of pasta but just a SIMPLE spagetti Instead of penny!!!!! I find it very inconsiderate and greedy way of making money. Really rip off! Never again la fontana - I rather bring business to a restaurant that is more understanding and considerate with their customers! I do not recommend and IF you want to take the risk, BE VERY CAREFUL not to be a victim too! **** UPDATE: I am really disgusted to see that even in their response they STILL LYING!!! LIERS LIERS LIERS!!!! We didn't even argued at all, as we had to leave and get kids to bed as it was already late! They are just a bunch or LIERS! We were forced to pay and left, so that I could make sure I report this opportunists here by leaving a honest review!!! Disgusting LIERS, DISHONEST BUSINESS!!!!!

Applied for a job here , asked me to come in for a trail shift .Did it , then radio silence for about a week before getting a message. “ we were messed about by a few candidates were wondering if you are still looking for work” . I agreed, jumping at the assumption i’d landed the role . Was later asked to bring personal documents to the restaurant. Mentioned to a manager at my current role i may be leaving , undoubtedly risking my job security . Only then after 10 minutes of waiting, asked my name again , then be told the chef wanted to hire someone else. I was in a state of confusion. The woman i was speaking to at some point bluntly told me she’d wasted my time .Stunned by the disorganisation and unprofessionalism during this encounter .As a last minute thought, I asked for a pizza but she told me the chefs were too busy making pizza . Politely thanked her and went on my way . Everyone else seemed nice , just thought i’d share my thoughts of this place . Caution if you are a new chef applying here . Thank you.

This is a an Italian restaurant with an extensive menu making it difficult to decide which delicious meal to have. All the staff were friendly and made for a lovely evening. The ladies were given a boxed Panatone cake each which was nice touch. Busy, so should book.

Came here for a birthday meal today, and was pleasantly surprised! the portions were generous, the dishes delicious and servers lovely. I had the siciliana pizza & it was divine, covered in fresh salmon & buratta. We had a lovely time & highly recommend this place :)
