The food was average & quite pricey but the temperature was very cold on Saturday morning in this cafe & I suffer from a circulation problem so not good

We liked it so much we went back next day! Great food, friendly service, popular place to eat. Nice range of menu options and well priced good value.

It’s not often you find a place with lovely people, amazing food and fantastic decor. This place is truly unique. I can’t recommend this place enough - every town/village/city needs a huggers!

The lunch we had at Cradle was nearly sublime. Reassuringly one choice only re starter and main. The Carrot & Apple soup was rich and deeply good; the accompanying bread and pickled salad a wonderful treat. Then later, as utterly made to order, the main. Was lovely but not enough snacks would have lik a toasted teacake but not on menu opted for cake it was delicious not too crowded staff friendly and helpful

Fui a ver a mi mamá para tomar un café y el caballero detrás del mostrador habló con nosotros y tener un poco de charla. Tenía un nervio atrapado y me ofreció un paracetamol para ayudar con el dolor y como siempre el café es fantástico. Siempre un gran lugar para visitar.

Had the most fantastic work Christmas Lunch here. The whole team were fantastic! Great service, Great food. The whole team really pulled out all the stops for us!

After a long walk we arrived just before closing. We asked if they were still serving coffee and they welcomed us in. Very friendly staff. Lovely cafe. Scones delicious. Would definitely go back

Visited this afternoon to have a coffee to warm up having walked from Whitley Bay. Found the staff friendly and efficient. The mince pies were delicious as we're the drinks. Highly recommended!

Such a disappointing experience. Very expensive (£11 for soup and one slice of bread which didn't come with any butter) and even more money for a "hotpot" which was saag aloo. The saag also was basically overcooked potato, which was absolutely tasteless with hardly any spinach and, again, a small slice of bread with no butter (many vegan butters could have been provided!).

Walked into Strummers this morning to be greeted to a lovely young lady who gave us a warm welcome. I ordered a small breakfast whilst Carol had a toasted cheese and onion sandwich. The quality of my breakfast was top notch. G and C from Tredegar

Had a lovely brunch, with my family, at Melodys today. Portion sizes were very generous, and the food was delicious. So nice to see a genuine independent cafe, still run by a local person who cares for her community.
