The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

I tried to order from my local chippy but they were shut so I took a chance and ordered from here for the first time. The curry and gravy sauces were spilt in the bag quite bad but the part we saved and the rest of the food tasted amazing. It was actually so much better than our usual local chippy and it arrived really fast. We’re going to be ordering from here in future. I’m glad we chanced it. Thank you. 😄

I had a good meal. But most importantly after I had an issue Christina was happy to help and able to sort efficiently when she could have chosen to ignore it. Service goes a long way.

Best scampi and chips I have had in a while. The chips were crispy but not greasy. They are served in a card box that means any grease that would be there is soaked up. Scampi was really nice and well cooked. Nicely salted with just enough vinegar. I had a small portion of chips that was more than adequate. There are some parking spaces nearby to pop in and get your chips and plenty of good spots to drive and look out to sea while eating them.

SPANISH!!! Come to this place to eat fish & chips, don't be fooled by the tourist traps in the center.

We visited The Marine for dinner after spotting the menu on a stroll. We were only visiting for one night so wanted to have a special meal together. We were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. They even gave our daughter their full attention and gave her a few different options for her meal. This was very thoughtful as many places disregard younger diners. She is 12 and enjoys eating out with food from the main menu. The decor was very pretty. We loved the wallpaper. The whole venue was clean and lit well. We ordered our drinks and they came quickly. We ordered our mains. Seafood linguine, marine pie and lobster. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. So well cooked. It was a beautiful experience. I’m so glad we visited.

If you love your seafood, this place is just outstanding. Such pleasant, informal service, and such absolutely top level food. I started with a soft shell crab. Perfection. Clam chowder was guzzled enthusiastically. For mains, mussels earned plaudits, sea bass and hake beautifully prepared and served while my brill accompanied by tiger prawns was sublime. No wine as we are all on the month of denial, so the food had to survive on its own merits. Deserves such high praise. My love German Shepherd dog Winnie was allowed in, and happily and quietly lay by my side knowing I should not be disturbed. Take my word for it and go.

Lovely restauraunt and takeaway , great staff and quality food

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but sadly, the evening fell far short of expectations. Here’s a breakdown of the issues we encountered: Starters – There was a significant delay in service. I had finished my starter, and my plate was cleared before my friend even received hers. Despite making it clear when ordering that oysters were to be served as a starter alongside my friend’s dish, this wasn’t respected. It completely disrupted the experience. Main Course – The monkfish was undercooked, slimy, and completely flavourless. Despite the restaurant insisting it was temperature-checked, I can confirm it was not properly cooked. For £35, I expected a much higher standard. Dessert – To top it off, I found a piece of plastic in my Eton mess. By this point, after dealing with the starter delay and the inedible main course, I didn’t even bother raising the issue. The service didn’t help matters either. With only two staff members working, one was incredibly rude. When I politely asked for the bill, I was met with an eye roll as they walked away. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. For a restaurant that seemingly prides itself on quality, there was none to be found in the food, service, or handling of customer concerns. I would not recommend this place and certainly won’t be returning.

It's my 3rd visit to The Shell restaurant in Holborn. On this occasion, I am so disappointed with the food and being charged £2.90 for Dijon mustard. The seafood grill I had was tasty. But, when the steak my husband ordered came, he couldn't even cut it with his steak knife and never mind about eating it. We highlighted the issue and his main course was swiftly replaced with no fuss. Thank you. The Dijon mustard was only requested because my husband thought he was having steak. We did a query about the extra charge and was told his steak came with peppercorn sauce hence Dijon mustard is additional sauce. I joked about why I was not charged for ketchup since my seafood grill came with butter sauce. Disappointed would be my ending word here.

Not bad Thai food. Children are forbidden which is strange at a seaside family spot like this. was turned away with my family but came back another day and tried some food. Soup was nice. Ribs were ok but were cold in places, so evidently "reheated" with a warmed sauce on pre-cooked meat. Tasted ok but nothing special
