My first time here and it did not disappoint. Parking easily accessible, extensive menu, good quality food, all made even better by the warm friendly staff. The only thing I didn’t prefer was being given a time limit on our dining table. I do understand the need for restaurants to take multiple sittings as this ensures revenue and continued success. I just do not personally prefer it.

We hadn't booked as we had expected to eat at the other restaurant in Splash Landings, but as that had not opened that evening we had no other choice. We were welcomed by a rather somber looking young man who showed us to a table. We waited for quite sometime for our food order to be taken when Lewis Y walked past and we asked if someone would take our order, he kindly assisted. When the food arrived it was pretty average considering the cost. £19 for fish and chips, the fish was nice but not very big, the chips(fries) were also nice, but were fries, not chips, the tartar sauce was good, but the mushy peas resembled a hard lumpy tasteless pea puree, there was nothing mushy about them. £19 for the double cheeseburger, which was OK if you like Birds eye burgers! A childs rigatoni pasta and tomato sauce was £8.75 for 10 pieces of pasta and a bit of sauce which equates to 87.5p per piece of pasta! £3.75 for a capri sun and £5 for 5 onion rings. We decided on tap water as felt £7.50 for a pint of larger was an even bigger rip off and £4.50 for a coke. Lewis Y was aware that we were unhappy about the unexpected closure of the Splash Landings restaurant and the long walk to this restaurant with 2 young children and he kindly discounted our meal by 10%, whilst this didn't solve our frustration it did help to give us a warmer feeling and all credit to him, he was really lovely, friendly and very kind and helpful to my grandchildren!

Used to like going here but it seems the management is new, the selection is half what it used to be and the prices are up. The chefs have a very bad attitude problem- if you want a better all you can eat for less go to Drummond street , easiest 1 star review I've had to give

This person seemed to be a supervisor. I was literally speechless at how rude Linda felt it appropriate to be to me. Linda demonstrated poor to no communication skills, and seemed very unhappy to be in her job. I think they should hand in their notice and do the work that makes them happy because they are projecting their bad vibes onto paying customers. I’m never returning and I will tell everyone I know how attacked I felt by Linda.

Okay to go for a drink but to eat, I wouldn't bother. Had ham, egg and chips. The chips were hard and the egg was mostly uncooked. Pretty grim to be honest. I used to like going in here but it's not up to scratch with other Wetherspoons in the area.

Got called a f***ing idiot by a member of staff called Claire, never in my life has anyone got away with something like that and she has to be the most unprofessional person I’ve met, not once did anyone say sorry and sort her out which is disgusting, the place is so unsafe after watching baby’s fall onto a hard floor outside the 1 yo ball bit and also the place is not clean at all, had to ask the rude young woman behind the bar for a clean cloth to clean the table only to be met with dirty looks Don’t take your kids here This company is awful and disgusting

I would recommend going to Time Out Food Hall over this place. Freezing inside. Didn’t feel like they had any heating inside. Once you manage to get on the app via wifi you can order from a number of different vendors. They nicely add on a 12.5% service charge which you can’t remove unless you ask for a waiter to come and help you with the bill , and that is a challenge itself as seemingly all waiters are in hiding unless they bringing food to the table. So you’re paying that 12.5%! Which consider its discretionary you should be able to remove. We ordered 4 items from 3 different vendors and the food flew out in record speed. Always abit unnerving when chicken is served to you in under 5 minutes of ordering. The tikka chicken is coated in so much sauce you can’t actually see what you’re eating, however after a few bites of the chicken it was clear to see if was mostly grizzle. The sushi rolls were the worse I’ve ever had. Again smoothed in some weird bright orange sauce and covered in herbs. Nothing like sushi California rolls should look or taste like. Certainly were not freshly made. Wouldn’t return. Food was over priced and average at best. Not even average, poor. From sitting down, to ordering to eating and leaving we did it all in under 40 minutes. Nothing great about this place. If you want a decent food hall, go to Time Out.

At an event attended by a member of the Royal Family the dinner service was disastrous. There was no organisation, the food was poor and the waiting staff totally out of their depth. Many guests had to leave before dessert was served as the service was so slow. Totally unacceptable for a venue and event of this type. Many people travelled great distances across the country to be present at this event and meal afterwards. To have to experience such a poor meal is unacceptable. A total disgrace!

Our usual chippy was closed so we thought we would give Robinson’s a try, what a mistake! £58 for a family meal (almost £6 for a portion of chips!) and so we were expecting decent food. It was cold (even the kids complained and they never moan!), the chips were old and dry, the fish was full of air rather than actual fish and the batter tasted of old, dirty oil. Even the gherkins - despite being £1 each - were ridiculously tiny and were all mushy. See photo with a TEASPOON for size comparison. Never again, we’ll stick to Golden Fry where our food is always hot, fresh and delicious!
