Small portions, over priced and cooking to order, including the chips! Ridiculous, waiting for chips in a chip shop! If their deliveries fail, then they will close, as it’s desolate in there during lunch times…

Bought chips&saveloy, chips were okay, the saveloy however smelled terrible as soon as i unwrapped it, the meat was saturated and mushy, liquid gushing out of it when i bit into it. Inedible as the taste matches the smell and i believe the meat had gone off.

This restaurant is not to be missed! From the warm welcome on arrival and throughout the whole experience the team made us feel very welcome, the service was truly excellent in lovely relaxed surroundings with a view of the estuary. An excellent menu, predominantly seafood with other options one salivates, it's difficult to chose what to go for. Supported by a great wine list the experience was faultless. Our third visit this year it certainly will not be our last.

Chips are very good but for the price your chips don’t even fill you up , call them kiddies portions 👍

He venido aquí muchas veces en los últimos 10 años, siempre en el semestre de octubre, y esta noche fue la primera vez que me decepcionó. El servicio fue muy lento, tomó 25 minutos para que alguien tomara nuestro pedido y eso solo sucedió porque le pedimos al camarero que lo tomara. Tardaron otros 25 minutos en salir los alimentos, lo que no me parece tan mal. Pensé que la comida era lo suficientemente buena pero no tan buena como solía ser.

I’ve waited 6 weeks to write this review. It’s considered because I know Hospitality has been difficult since Covid. We went to this restaurant to celebrate our 30th anniversary - my partner had chosen it over other restaurants near us in Dorset. It was a fabulous stormy day with great views from the dining room. We were welcomed and given a perfect table - ‘sticky’ - but never mind it’s a big day! Had a lovely glass of English sparkling and then our starters arrived. Mine had congealed food on it, clearly left over from a previous service. The server did a double take too but decided to ignore it…and so did I. (I know that, at this point I should have said something but I just didn’t want to ruin our meal. And, by the way, I don’t think it should be up to the customer to complain, the staff should apologise and replace immediately.) We ordered another glass of wine which just didn’t turn up until we asked again at least 20 mins later. Small things are now accumulating... This is how an expensive meal goes from poor to pitiful. Our mains came (we didn’t mind that it was very slow - it was a Sunday and we were there to enjoy the moment). The additional vegetables were just rock hard. My fish had some unrecognisable ‘innards’ - not roe. We had fully intended to stay for pudding, coffee, dessert wine etc etc but we just looked at each other (30 years of dining out at great restaurants together) and decided to call it a day. We were so deflated… So disappointing. To the restaurant: please take notice of our comments. We want lovely restaurants to go to in Dorset - think about what you’re being told in good faith and up your game.

The venue was beautiful, service impeccable and food was amazing. We had the Christmas set menu. Will definitely return

Me and my wife visited cleethorpes for the weekend and called here for tea..not been here for years but I can honestly say they were the best fish and chips I have had in a long time..great price for great food 😀 definitely will be back

Had a haddock and chips and it was great. Chips were very light, not oily at all. The fish was very nice as well.q

Went here for a little Christmas treat with my friend. We loved our meal, it was so delicious. We had the Turkey, stuffing and cranberry pie with chips and gravy and a deep fried mince pie with brandy sauce for pudding. The pie was so good, nice pastry, lots of meat and really tasty. The mince pie and sauce was certainly different and even better than I could have imagined. My mouth is actually watering now thinking about that lovely dessert! The staff were really friendly and polite. Appeared happy and were smiling. I was able to use my Blue light discount too which was an added bonus. Thank you so much to all of the staff in Long Eaton. I was working Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and this meal out was a treat with my friend from my fiancé to try helping me have some nice memories during Christmas due to the fact that I was working and honestly, it was really nice.

Never received my order, after they accepted it on Just Eat. Then never answered the phone when called after changing the delivery time. This has happened twice in two months now.

Chips were terrible half of them not cooked and overpriced

Amazing place for a quick coffee and a bite to eat. Staff were nice. The place was clean. The food was fresh and delicious. Coffee was okay, but not bad. It's a bit cramped, but otherwise it was great!
