The best restaurants serving Thai food in England

Never dine in the same place twice when visiting Bournemouth and picked this restaurant based on cuisine type and google rating. Not disappointed. Good authentic Thai food in a family run establishment. Thai tea was good a portion sizes generous. Would recommend.

We had been wanting to eat here since we moved to Clacton 2 years ago. Last night on our way home from a trip to London I looked at the set menu shown on line and decided to try it. We arrived and ordered. Sorry but I have eaten at several Thai restaurants but this food was more Chinese than anything. Nothing contained the ingredients associated with Thai food. Really disappointed and I don’t think we will be eating here again.

An excellent Thai restaurant on the high street. It’s small so you need to book but the size means you get great service and personal attention/advice from the owner, we had a great meal … just wish we had somewhere similar on our high street! Oh - they offer takeaway too!

Thai has always been my favourite cuisine but no matter where I go in the UK, nothing compares to this little slice of paradise. The food is exceptional and the setting unrivalled. It’s the only place me and my husband go to without speaking - because we are too busy eating. Don’t question it. Just book it!

This is the second time we have been and the food is amazing however the restaurant was freezing cold and we ate with our coats on, when we spoke to them it fell on deaf ears absolutely no respond Really ruined the night and will not recommend or revisit

My husband and I recently visited Erawan for our anniversary dinner, and we were thoroughly impressed. Thai cuisine is our favorite, and we’ve dined at many Thai restaurants over the years, Erawan came very close to being our absolute favorite! The food was absolutely incredible, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small and gets very busy, so it was quite loud, making it hard to have a proper conversation. Despite that, we would definitely go back because the food alone is worth it! Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Thai cuisine.

First time customer, I only bought a takeaway for one this evening but had the nicest experience! A friendly voice on the phone picked up straight away to take my order. Two separate staff members greeted me as I walked in the door and said they’d be right with me (they were serving customers).They were both so friendly and welcoming despite it being a busy Friday night. One came back less than a minute later and apologised for the ‘wait’! My order was ready exactly on time and was piping hot when I got home. The pad thai was delicious with a generous portion of perfectly-cooked chicken and the vegetable tempura was still crispy because the lid had been cleverly cut to let the steam out (no soggy batter!). This place has an excellent reputation locally and I can see why. Excellent food and service. It makes such a difference to customer experience when you feel looked-after, even when you’re not a dine-in customer. Thank you to the brilliant team at Thai time.

Visiting Buxton for a mini break away and read great reviews. Mixed experience for us. Food was amazing! Freshly prepared and delicious starters and main courses. The service was poor. Two young girls serving, was not asked about the meal once during our visit. Wasn’t offered any other drinks until after we’d finished our mains and ready to settle the bill. Abruptly walked off after paying and it felt an effort for the thank you to be made to us. What a lovely meal which was let down by not feeling valued as a customer and poor table service.
