Popped in for Lunch whilst visiting Dartmouth and glad we found this Bistro The food was excellent and reasonably priced I had mixed seafood and it was lovely very nice place and pretty busy & we offered to shared our table with a couple of strangers and soon good chatting and having a great time, The owner appreciated us sharing the table as brought in a couple more customers who would otherwise have gone elsewhere, nice if others do the same - you never know you may get on and meet some lovely people will certainly return here the next time we go to Dartmouth

I very rarely write a review but this experience was so amazing that I felt I had to tell people about it. We went on Saturday for the taster menu and from the minute we walked through the door Aga made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. As far as front of house service goes this is the best I have ever experienced. She talked us through every course and had clearly researched her wine choices when it came to wine pairing. When it came to the food, it was obvious that Lewis had put his heart and soul into it and the flavours were Michelin star without a doubt. Every dish was exceptional and even included ingredients from their own allotment. The stand out favourites for me were the goats cheese tartlet and the cheesecake. But for someone who isn’t keen on radishes, red wine or fish, they made me love them all. I think the best pairing was how the two of them complement each other with her excellent customer service and his exquisite cooking. We will definitely be going back.

We visited for the Burns Night dinner. It was a great night out - food fabulous as always and the ceilidh was fun - really good band, great atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, excellent food and spot-on service. Was amazed that a pub in middle of nowhere and seemingly quiet was packed when we got in! Highly recommend the scotch egg (starter) and the chicken, but everything we and those around us had and was awesome.

Very very small portions. Especially chilli paneer at £9.40. Regular customer but very over ĺpriced now . Unfortunately won't be visiting again

I visited first in 2022 and I was looking forward to this year's visit once I'd learnt I was going. Delicious food and amazing staff. One feels they really care for you. I'm very happy to have met Shenell at dinner who was really nice and helpful and also fun. And meeting Sumara at breakfast was also amazing - she remembered me and my friend from our previous visit! It's like seeing old friends again. A really lovely experience.

We travelled 40 miles to do a walk from Craster starting from The Piper's Pitch. We checked the evening before the opening times and that it would be open We planned on food there. Not open when we go there. Really disappointing. Spoke to staff in the Jolly Fisherman later and was told the opening is inconsistent .

Popped in here for a bit of lunch after visiting the Castle, it was busy but the service was both swift and friendly. Really enjoyed the food, I had the Steak Burger the wife had a Tuna Sandwich, both excellent sized portions and freshly made, great value for money I thought and I could be a honoury tight Yorkshireman so I'm told. Only slight drawback for some was that it was a bit crowded but not overly so. Would definitely go again if back in the area, recommend it to anyone for a swift bite to eat.
