Scam! Pub is closed. Last owner did a runner and charged my credit card for a room they had no intent on providing. Total criminal.

A lovely wetherspoons, nice location

The Pancake House used to be the highlight meal of our stay. Sadly, no more. Whereas the pancakes used to be freshly made Dutch style with the ingredients cooked within, they are now three smaller pancakes which, I presume, are warmed up. I've always ordered the Banoffee, where the pancake is moist and the banana is cooked with the pancake and deliciously warm. Now, the pancakes are really dry and luke warm with a handful of sliced banana stuck on top, no ice cream, a few squirts of cream and some sauce on top. There are no longer different sizes options - pancake or waffle are the only options. We used to come out feeling full to the brim, but today, we came out still hungry. Honestly, I couldn't be more disappointed and let down. We complained to the waitress about the poor quality, but were just told to write a review on the feedback from at the end of our stay.

We come to the half moon for a meal with our 3 children regularly, the restaurant and pub itself has a lovely atmosphere, great food prices along with generously portioned plates. Lisha, Nina and Lisa was the girls serving today and they was all smiley and polite. All the the girls that work here should be praised for the 5* service, thank you all!

The Bull Inn looked very inviting - brightly lit on a dark and dismal evening. We chose to have the offer of 5 small dishes from a list on the menu for £18.50 Disappointingly though several of the items were not available and no substitutes were offered. We did enjoy the hummus and pitta, the spicy nuts and the patron peppers.

We didn’t really eat here, apart from a tasty but small bowl of chips. The atmosphere is great, plenty of space, plenty of places to sit. Lots and lots of tv screens with all sport showing. Staff are very accommodating, turning tv stations over for guests to watch different matches. Floor service available and drinks/ food can be brought to your table. Giant screen which is brilliant to watch!

What we had was good, however, according to the Blackboard the meat was Beef, Chicken, or Gammon. Unless you are known to Chef, after we had eaten he came and offered two guests LAMB.. I will attach a picture of our ‘Large’ portions. That is unless you are known to chef, then your portion is considerably larger. Note, the small flat piece of Yorkshire pudding, or at least I think that’s what it is supposed to be. Four, yes four sprouts, I actually asked our lovely waitress if she were sure that these were large portions. Note one slice of parsnip, one slice of sweet potato, that mushed up white stuff is cauliflower cheese and sloppy broccoli. I made my issues known, it’s simply not good enough to give preferential treatment to regulars, unfortunately we are local and were just out for a Sunday lunch. Like I said what we had was nice, and graciously and politely served, but if you know chef you will get larger, large portions. Don’t go here if you don’t know chef.

Soggy, not fresh, werid vinger taste to all of food. Burger meal. Horrible, salad on burger soggy made the bun soggy. The actually meat is not a burger! It's some microwave processed crap. Chips soggy cold no taste. Corn on the cob old!! No taste no butter? Horrible. Hummus. Was not fresh. Spring roll! The worst thing you could buy 🤢 disgusting taste soggy not even cooked through properly clearly pre made. Peri peri chips? Charge you extra for some spices that you could put on your own chips they were horrible too chips have a funny taste. Again soggy cold not worth it. Chicken nuggets they were okay. Again not "takeaway" food it's just frozen food cooked horribly delivered to your door. When I rang up eventually when I got answer the person was rude and cheeky. Decidedly took 1hr 50ish mins. This food was disgusting? How can you sit and call your self a takeaway really. I'm from Middlesbrough, like I said in my last review I'm so thankful I don't live here this food is accurally inevitable. Can't even call it food slop. Cold horrible tasteless slop. Worse delivery shop had in my life and I love my food only thing that was good on the order was bottle of Pepsi 🤣🤣 anyone can cook food better than yours. Especially frozen crap like away paying for something expect it to be fresh at least LIKE THE SALAD. DISGUSTING!!!!🤮

Had a really excellent takeaway while staying at nearby Center Parcs. The onsite option was expensive and limited menu - we were happy to find our favourite dishes on Peaxh Bower menu and had plenty to eat for 4 for under £50.00. We pre-ordered online and collected (5 mins away) - all worked smoothly. We would def reccommend to anyone else. Food was delicious.

We recently had a meal at Judes Ferry. The food was very nice and so were the staff which would normally make this would have been a 4 star review at least. Unfortunately the front door is left open which makes it cold and the whole place needs a refurbishment inside and out. I know everything cost money but a coat of paint would make it so much better

Our breakfast was absolutely perfect. Everything was delicious and the service was great. My duvet and I had the full breakfast and my son/husband had the sandwich.

Called in on way back from beach. Ordered small fish and chips. £9.70!! I was the only one in the shop 3.15 and one person serving. Got back to my van and the fish was like a mini sardine so small and the chips were dry shrivelled and most probably started their life the night before. I also noticed from the leaflet I picked up that I should have been charged about £6 as there was an offer on. I phoned to complain 6 times but no one answered so took it back and got my money back. Second time this has happened load of old trash. Never again.

My Fiancé and I started coming here 2 yrs ago, and ever since, we’ve never been disappointed! Staff are amazing and welcoming, the chef always makes the effort to come out and have a chat which means a lot to us! Food is always fresh and delicious, served on hot plates . Great variety of food selections. Thank You! We will be back soon! :) E&J
