The best restaurants in Welwyn Hatfield East of England

I was told this place was good...so I had to try. It was beyond good. Excellent Indian food and a very cheerful host. Looking forward to the next time.

Telephone food order to Welwyn, took 1 hour 20 mins to arrive, I called after an hour to be told “it’s on its way” Food was quite hot, chips were chunky chip shop chips and really nice, plain chow mein tasted of fish, chicken balls had too much batter and not much chicken, the batter was so thick it wasn’t cooked in the middle, very doughy as seen in photo, sesame toast was really greasy too. Cash only, may have used again if I could have used my business bank card, so probably won’t use again. Dissapointed.

Brilliant place to eat and really excellent staff

lovely meal for the 2 of us as managed to get a table on christmas eve. Venison and whole of meal full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Good size portions. Lovely evening in a old beamy cosy pub.

Had a lovely time at Tewinbury. Visited for my son’s wedding reception & couldn’t fault a thing! The venue is amazing with all the facilities close to hand. The staff were very attentive & always happy to help. The room was also lovely with everything you could want/need. A lovely place to stay!

Food was lovely, only issue i had was the service. Came in with my daughter so assumed I would be given a kids menu, was given two adults menus, had to ask for a kids menu and even then I still had to wait. The waitress came to take our order but still no kids menu!! We ordered and our starters came before our drinks! Eventually got our drinks. The rest of the evening went ok, average nothing special.

Outstanding location love this place

It was a regular everyday subway. Nothing different from rest of the subways out there. But the guy working there is really rude.

Loved my toasted Panini snack after my walk in Sherrards Wood, made extra enjoyable by the best coleslaw I’ve ever tasted, why no coleslaw now?

Very nice food. Cheap and cheerful

We stopped here after a walk with our 2 young children. The food was delicious, the beers were great and the owner was very kind to our children. We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more food from the French inspired menu!

Closed at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon

We have eaten here before on Sundays when there is an excellent carvery-style menu. Although this time we visited mid-week, there was still a roast dinner on the menu. The staff kindly agreed to serve less brussel sprouts and more roast potatoes! The whole meal was delicious and very good value. We'll be back.
