The best restaurants in Northumberland North East

Stayed here as part of a wedding party. Excellent venue great food and service. Room was lovely compact but very cosy with walk-in shower and underfloor heating. Breakfast was the best full English breakfast I’ve had.

Only stayed briefly to ask if they were still serving food. Barman was very helpful, telling me they stopped serving food last October (2023). Google entry states they still serve and all the signs outside say they serve food. Take them down so that us hungry travellers don't go out of our way to find you. Thanks again for the tips of where I might find somewhere to eat

Been my local for a few years now. Love it here, always made to feel welcome by the owners. Great atmosphere, great people. They do a quiz night on a Thursday which is always a laugh. Downside is that drinks are on the more expensive side compared to other local pubs. If drinks were a bit cheaper I'd probably be in there more. Apart from that its a great place to catch up with friends. Would recommend.

Chicken dish swimming in tin of tomatoes , rice over cooked, chapati undercooked, an insult to Indian food.

A proper pub near Berwick Station. Friendly barmaid and welcoming locals. A real old gem of a pub with some ghost stories too if you ask the barmaid

Turkish delight flavour ice cream?! Yes please! Fantastic friendly service. They were waiting on a delivery when we arrived as many flavours had sold out. Really helpful and offered tasters to help pick a flavour we'd both enjoy. Definitely be back then next time I'm in Alnwick

Fantastic food with amazing service. Had a wonderful time with a large family meal. Some of the best italian food I've eaten outside of Italy. Would absolutely recommend and the value for money is tremendous.

What a gift to come across this on the way to New Castle. Super friendly people, delicious cakes and a beautiful atmosphere.

Lovely food delivered quickly. Only disappointment was one of the items was wrong but it was still delicious.

Counter staff and drivers top class

Beautifully maintained building both outside and in. Received a friendly warm welcome when we walked in. Coffee is delicious and oat milk is available. They also serve some vegan options and cakes. Loads of period features make this cafe so inviting as well as the friendly service. I'm looking forward to my next visit as I understand the vegan cake variety changes weekly.

Sensory environment to breathe fresh air

Perfect tandoori takeaway. Authentic dopiaza, food delivered piping hot and really friendly driver/staff on the phone. Will be recommending to all, felt like restaurant quality food. Thanks!

If you like listening to loud, opinionated OAPs that support Nigel Farage this is the cafe for you. First and last time visiting I also didn't realise that it was dog friendly I don't understand how cafes serving food allow this. I wouldn't bring my cat to breakfast with me and he's an emotional support animal. The food was not up to much and certainly wouldn't say it was worth £25 for a full breakfast and fried egg sandwich with a Bailey's hot chocolate. And as the owner states everyone is entitled to opinion. Just like everyone has a bum hole doesn't mean everyone needs to hear or see it. But if this cafe supports racist, misogynist and homophobic views I wish them all the best.
