The best restaurants in Northumberland North East

First time using fry fare and it was absolutely gorgeous food cooked to perfection. My only issue is the garlic sauce was too runny 😂🤣😘 but I still ate it x

An absolute gem. The Red Lion is a beautiful place to stay, the food is excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here to anyone, with the best hosts.

Great place for a stopover. Bar is lovely and cosy, staff are friendly and helpful and the food and rooms Great.

A fab spot in Bedlington! Proper good home cooked food with good portions and loads of flavour! One of the best Sunday lunches I've had in the north east and its reasonably priced as well, also dog friendly in the snug. The interior is lush and quirky. Burger night was also fab , I'll try pie night next

Great place to eat. Didn't have a reservation but was given two tables put together. Very friendly, professional staff. Food was lovely and I would highly recommend.

Booked for me and mum at 12pm. Arrived at 12pm. Sat at a table between a walk and the back of the booth. People couldn’t walk by without walking sideways. Table didn’t belong there. Asked to move. But told the other table of 2 was booked. Well yes. So were we! No other options. Staff didn’t care at all. Terrible.

We were passing through Rothbury with friends, when hunger struck the kids. We were unfamiliar to the area and so just tried a couple of places nearest to where we’d parked - but seemed quite reluctant to accommodate, perhaps fatigued by the space between Christmas and new year. Cue Bewicks - we were warmly welcomed by a really lovely guy, who accommodated our party of four adults and four kids. We had coffees/juices and scones - although the menu looks really varied, with some wonderful sounding breakfasts and brunches. Coffee was very nice, cheese scones were amazing and the onion relish that accompanies… well, I really regret leaving without either a jar or the recipe. Well worth a visit.

Love the meals from here. Always great quality and excellent service. Kids meals are great value also.

What a little gem. Such friendly and accommodating staff, proper coffee, fresh proper food which is different to all the other local offerings. Refreshingly modern in our quaint market town. I do a regular community meet here and the staff are so wonderful. They put on wonderful and varied in house events too. There’s a lovely enclosed garden to enjoy in good weather, or safely park your pram or bike. Best dirty chai about!

ordered a few nights ago and couldn't actually wait to order again! Fish is incredible, very white and a good size and very tasty. Our 5 month old devoured some fish and mushy peas too! So thumbs up from the oldest right through to the youngest.
