Amazing place, freshly made falafel, full of flavour, tasty smoothies.

Managed to get a late booking.. our waitress was amazing.. nothing too much trouble.. Food, wine and atmosphere superb..

We had booked for my birthday and when we arrived we were informed that there had been a problem with the fire alarms and that they may go off again but an engineer was on the way. We were given the choice if we wanted to stay and decided we would. I'm so glad we did! We were so well looked after. Our server Julie was fabulous and was so genuine and showing an interest as we chatted to her. The food was delicious, as usual. They were so sorry about the alarms going off, but it didn't effect our night at all. Thank you to Julie for making our night so special and to the team for looking after us so well.

Well what can we say?! Absolutely fantastic! We booked for my husbands birthday along with his brother and sister in law. From the moment we arrived we were exceptionally well looked after. The bar service was excellent and the waiter looked after us, making menu recommendations and wine recommendations. He then explained and showed us the speciality steaks. Once in the restaurant the staff were attentive and friendly. We loved the little extra details like showing us the knife collection. Between us we ordered scallop starter and cheese soufflé. They were both amazing dishes and so pretty. The scallop Thermidor was divine. Next up we had 2 rib eye steaks and the special tomahawk steak, as well as a tuna. Ordered with various sides and sauces. Every mouthful was amazing. We were blown away and so happy we had made the choice to eat here on this special occasion. Thank you to each and every staff member who make it so wonderful. Absolute stars!

Yummy! We came out for drinks and a dessert and were not disappointed. They catered for my allergies (gluten and dairy free) really well. I had the maple waffles and the mango passion drink and it was delicious. My husband had the Matilda cake and the strawberry delight and he really enjoyed it. Service was great. Would recommend.

This is such a quirky little hidden treasure to come and eat. The lady who welcomed us was so polite and sweet. Love all the little touches. I had an omelette and a pot of tea. The omelette was delicious and I tried my partners pancake with bacon and syrup and that was gorgeous. Reasonable prices and will definitely be coming back again

It's our go to eatery in Chester. Great choice of both meat eater and vegetarian.

Honestly this place is the best restaurant in Cheshire! Hands down 🙌 Highly recommend the cheese soufflé to start and the feather blade of beef was outstanding! Hats off to the chefs. The service was great too. 👏👏

Highly recommend. Had some amazing food and a great atmosphere. The staff were attentive to our needs throughout the visit. The outside seating area is small, but encouraged us to share a table and spend time with some lovely people. A board was being 'tugged' down the Manchester Ship Canal as we sat outside. (Photo)

I haven’t been to the Shanghai in many years it brought back a lot of family memories. We came here for my Dad’s birthday and I was pleasantly surprised how the quality of their food has remained consistent to how it tasted when I was a kid. Even the building interior hasn’t changed (I think an upgrade is needed) The staff were very friendly, our waitress was very cheerful and checked up on us often. We ordered Banquet B and shared a pot of Chinese tea. The food was great with a nice variety of dishes on each course. The shared platter for the starter was my favourite it was perfectly presented and had something for everyone. If you’re looking for a Chinese restaurant in Chester, this is the place to go.

Ordered a takeaway which was greasy and flavorless. The rice was stodgy and the chicken dishes flavorless, potatoes were good and some of the grilled dishes worked. The sauce from the food had leaked into all of the bags and for almost £25 a person, would it have been too much to ask for somebody to open the door as I struggled to leave with 5 bags? The awful service was the perfect ending to a terrible experience.

Love this place. Paddy has done a Stellar job with it. Fantastic live music, delicious beverages both alcoholic and non. Kept secure by proper smart bouncers. It's one of the best spots in the North West! Mines a White Russian please Paddy!
