First Class Quirky Beer House. My German beer came in a frozen glass stein. BBQ Chicken chips and Mayo off scale. Only fault was no cooking bitter but all the plus points made up for that

It was a really nice experience and the food was also nice and filling. We had the shichimi beef bento, ten-bon, and the tonkatsu noddles. Would definitely recommend them.

Lovely, traditional Country pub with all the gossiping locals and even church bells ringing in background. Mrs Bouquet would love it!!

We came last weekend (Saturday night)-really disappointed - we ordered the steak sharing board and it came cold and the steak was really fatty. We were offered to have it warmed up! Which I didn’t want! The man also said we weren't the only one to send this back!! We then were put off having anything. We ordered desserts as the man offered free of charge and then after ordering these he told us we would have to pay for them as he wasn’t able to do free of charge which he offered! We had these and finished our wine and won’t be returning.

Astounding 2 page vegan menu. Spoilt for choice! Delicious dishes. Fantastic friendly, attentive service from Das, Hassan and Reja. We will be back!!

Utterly scrumptious menu...there's quite literally nothing I wouldn't eat time after time! The whole staff are all so welcoming and warm - and committed to providing a top rate service. It's always wonderful to see how busy this local cafe is - showing how much of a treasure it has become in our landscape! Truly embodies the best of what it means to be a 'family business' and in my opinion will always beat any rival 'chain' cafe! On busy days, or around lunchtime, it's always worth a quick phonecall in case they're really busy....but I think the wait is so worth it!

Wonderful evening in an incredible historic building, eating amazing authentic Italian food, cooked and served to us by a gorgeous father and son. Heaven!

Beautiful traditional old pub. Bar staff so nice and friendly. Dog friendly and has large beer garden for summer and real fire inside in winter. Easy to get to on the bus. Has good selection of real ales and bar snacks too.

Great Belgium bar in the middle of Chester

I had a takeaway salt and pepper platter thing and it was pretty good. Although it was £15 and I could have eaten more. Then again I do have a healthy appetite.

This is my very favourite restaurant in the area. The food is excellent and plentiful and there is plenty of choice. The staff are cheerful and nothing is too much trouble.
