Excellent food and service! The festive menu was unreal and great value for money. Lovely evening. Great portions, made us feel very welcome, lovely atmosphere.

It is a lovely family run business with exceptional friendly staff with great quality food and service. The building is full of character and quaint. Great place for family, friends, celebrations or take away option.

This is a great Indian restaurant. Powerful flavours, succulent dishes and a clubby ambience. All for a very reasonable price.

Had a takeaway, keema rice was lacking mince lamb and spices 👎, Bombay baloo, boiled potatoes with sauce, very little spice. Will not try this place again 👎

We live in Cheddar and always bring family and friends for meals here, it’s consistently good! Food is authentic, atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always so friendly, smiley and attentive.

Writing this review a bit late but I have to say this is a fantastic restaurant, amazing food and even more so wonderful staff. We went there a few weeks ago for my brother in laws 80th birthday for the Sunday buffet. From entering the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and accommodating and they ensured that all our dietary requirements were met. The choice of food was wonderful and the warm nans and puri's were being served constantly. All the family members had nothing but praise for the food and staff. Being from Surrey we had not been here before but would definitely come back and recommend it to our extended family and friends. A big thank you to Mika and all her staff. You have a wonderful pure vegetarian restaurant.

Love the tamarind restaurant! The food quality is always beautiful. It’s our favourite place to eat out! Also huge shout out to Demi, we absolutely love her as much as we love the food! Shes such a lovely person and goes above and beyond for everyone to make sure the experience is always 10/10. She definitely deserves a pay rise 💖👌 We’ve tried loads of different things on the menu and it’s really spot on! No where compares to the tamarind it’s honestly the best!

Very rude owner who actually said he doesn't care about losing customers. Mouse droppings along skirting board inside restaurant. Stay well clear of this place. Rude staff/owner and overpriced below average food.

Great food. Not always plenty of it, but high standard and creative. Certainly expensive, so not a regular, but it's definitely a quality restaurant. Absolutely worth a go when you've been paid. A cut above most others.

A fabulous meal, service by Sid was warm, effficient and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. All food freshly cooked, tasty and very enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back if ever in the area. Thank you.

We were a party of 16 celebrating an engagement! We all had a drink in the bar then taken to long table in a private part of the restaurant. The service was very attentive and the food delicious. The portions very generous and the food all came out the same time for all of us. The happy couple and grandpa was treated to a complementary cocktail to celebrate the happy occasion. We didn’t feel rushed and really enjoyed our evening with Shon as our head waiter. The food was so good!!
