Great atmosphere lovely place to eat.

This was such a brilliant experience. Long time jazz lover so this was on my list to visit, but the whole vibe of the place was even better than expected. The service was great, the table service was on point, and the food was actually pretty good! Strong recommend. But only go if you actually really like jazz.

I had the Porchetta and the Reuben. The sweet potato fries were on point. The Porchetta was sensational but the Reuben was not. That’s my only complaint, beef was too chewy, beef brisket that’s slowed cooked is not supposed to be tough. I felt I had to work. A friend thought the same about their Philly (also beef). The ambience of the place is very chill and the staff was super nice.

Escapada urbana a Newcastle y visitó 21 para su menú "Bang in Season" con vuelo de vino acompañante. Excelente comida con todos los 5 platos que están muy bien cocinados / presentados. El fletán era perfecto solo pasando la translucidez y el corzo suave y raro. También es genial ir a un restaurante donde los platos calientes están calientes! Vuelo de vino también muy bueno y agradable para tener 3 vinos blancos con los primeros 3 platos notablemente diferentes entre sí - KMC particularmente bueno. Encantador ambiente agradable y relajado servicio - lástima que se basa en Newcastle y no en Edimburgo como iría regularmente.

Same as most other bad reviews have said. We booked the dinner-at-eight and never got offered or served any additional drinks, the first 3 courses strongly depended on cream for flavour, pork belly rind wasn’t crispy and lacked seasoning, meals took way too long to come out and ended up leaving at mains because everyone had finished theirs by the time ours even arrived. Went to collect coats and had to hunt them down as was just hung up willynilly. Could have taken anyone’s coat home! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE unless you like bland food, long waits and dismal service from waiting on staff.

Lunch time so quiet but couldn't fault the food or the service. Unpretentious but excellent. Basic decor unremarkable, small lunchtime choice of course but I would urge people to try it. The evening menu is extensive and very good also

Four of us ate in the restaurant. We went there spontaneously with high expectations and were quickly shown a table. The meat was OK, but nothing special - I've definitely had better. My friend's fish, on the other hand, seemed to be very good, so that was a bright spot. However, the artichoke was a complete disappointment! For the price I would have expected much more. The portion was tiny and suitable at best as a starter, not as a main course. The service was mediocre and did not meet the standards of a restaurant of this category. We were told after we “only” ordered main courses that the artichoke needed at least 30 minutes to prepare. Incredible! What should be positively highlighted is the ambience, which was really very nice and created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to save the overall impression.

We booked a meal here for our family for Christmas eve. Not been before as it is a bit tucked away from the main road but had heard it was very good, charcoal grilled food. We had attentive waiter and our meal came out hot and within a reasonable time. I had the charcoal chicken wings for starters and they were delicious as were the prawns. All of us were very happy with our food and we all left with a full stomach. Portion sizes were generous and were in keeping with the price. The restaurant has a relaxed, cozy feel with a warm ambience and as it overlooks the river it has lots of outdoor seating which must be lovely to sit out in the warmer days. We will definitely be coming again and have recommend this place to our friends.

OMG - restaurante increíble, justo en mi puerta! Reservado en línea, pero dejó un mensaje en el teléfono preguntando si había alguna posibilidad de entrar antes - me llamaron con opciones! A la llegada, el restaurante tiene un ambiente encantador y el personal era encantador. Suficientes opciones en el menú - todo lo que comí allí era tan bueno como se pone. El desierto en particular era increíble - restaurante encantador, personal encantador y bonus es la comida fabulosa. No he disfrutado de una comida fuera tanto por bastante tiempo. Sin duda volveré!
