Dined in The Ship Inn on NYE. The food was excellent, very wholesome and tasty. Our whole party enjoyed their respective meals. Drinks and hospitality was very good. We celebrated thr New Year with several other customers, all strangers, and had a great time. Will definitely return.

Just popped in for a quick bite on our travels through the area Lovely people running this little tea room. I had a piece of delicious Coffee and Walnut cake served with cream and blueberries and a latte coffee served just as I asked for. Hubby had a cheese and ham toastie which he really enjoyed

We popped into this restaurant on our way from Edinburgh to Newcastle, and it turned out to be a fantastic midway stop! The lamb shank was huge and absolutely delicious—really good value for the price. My family went for the chicken shish and mixed shish, and I’ve got to say, those marinated meat cubes were spot on—perfectly grilled to medium. Service was brilliant. Definitely worth dropping by if you’re in the area!

Food always unreal - shame they’ve taken the burrata off the menu. Service not amazing this time round. Caesar salad is a must.

A favourite regular haunt, always a quick and speedy service. The front of house women on the takeaway side really know what they are doing. Amazing to see A buisness where everyone employed pulls there weight to allow this restraunt and takeaway to thrive is magnificent and so is the food! Brilliant pricing dining in always plays the anthems. Size of a regular fish is longer than my forearm but smaller specials in place if you don't have that much of an appetite well always go back its utterly amazing. This review may suggest I work here i don't I just love it🤣.

Wey Hey!! Fab restaurant in Morpeth. Been for lunch a few times and had a family evening meal. Never been let down. If there were more stars they would get them. Great staff and child ( and adult) friendly. You must go but leave a table for us!! Thank you for a Fab Festive meal on 18th Dec 2024. Delicious and excellent value served by cheerful and attentive staff A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the staff.

Today I took my ten year old daughter and three year old niece to this restaurant. My niece was in a pushchair so I had to pull the chair up two steps and push two doors to enter. When I turned around I saw two staff members had witnessed my struggle and had stood there glaring at me. I asked for a table to which the woman looked me up and down as if I was a piece of rubbish, rolled her eyes and said I could sit in the corner or window. Her manner was a disgrace and if I had not felt that she would be getting what she wanted I would have left. In addition to this I saw her walk to the young man and clearly say something negative about us. I have lived and dined across the world. Have always had an incredibly well paid job and this is the first time I have experienced such lack of respect. I will not be returning here.

We were really unsure as we don't live anywhere close by. However, what a lovely surprise! Some of the best food I've ever eaten. We felt so looked after and the staff were so attentive. Gemma, Liv and Erin couldn't have looked after us better if they tried! Fresh oysters, lovely bread, crispy fish, beautiful sauces and chips. Honestly, no faults at all!

Audela is an outstanding restaurant in Berwick upon Tweed serving a highly specialist menu that's delivered in a stylish setting by professional staff. I opted to sample several starters instead of opting for one main course and this was a smart thing to do as I was able to sample several of their exquisite dishes all of which set the highest standards. The sauces and flavours created in each dish was superb and of particular note was the salmon and scallops served with an orange sauce which was a taste sensation. The only reason for 3 stars rather than 5 for atmosphere is nothing to do with the restaurant purely that I visited at a very quiet time in early New Year so the place was very quiet but at busier times I'm sure the atmosphere would be buzzing and it would be top rated. Highly recommend a visit. Super talented team and I don't think you can go wrong with their menu, it's outstanding.

A true hidden gem in Northumberland. The Carts Bog offers a warm cosy retreat after whatever day you've had. The atmosphere was welcoming with a roaring fire and country music on in the back ground. Service was great and everyone here is so friendly, especially the couple running it. Graham is truly passionate about food and catering for people. The dishes he's put together are just proper comfort food, warming and delicious. I had the steak medallion special which was cooked to perfection, followed by the best Sticky Toffee Pudding I've ever had. Usually the sauce gives you that tickle in the back of your throat and leaves you feeling sickly, not this pudding! Warm, velvety and leaves you begging for more. All the other puds are made on site too and are equally delightful. If you're passing through or a local, please give this place a try, I'm confident you won't regret it.
